On Saturday I was searching through my sister’s library looking for a book to read because I have a goal this 2022 to read at least 50 books and immediately this book caught my eyes so I decided to read it and this is my review of it.
PREVIEW
Book title: Why men marry bitches
Author: Sherry Argov
Year of production: 2006
Genre: Dating
FIRST LOOK
My first look at this book got me curious and also confused because of the title and I guess that was what the author was going for using such a title.
I believe that just by looking at this book a lot of people would want to read it to see what it is about which is a very good marketing plan.
PREMISE
The whole premise of the book is telling women that good girls come last, at least that was what I understood by reading it.
The author focused on the idea that a bitch in this contest wasn’t a cruel or a mean person like we all would presume but a woman who is clear about what she would accept and what she wouldn’t.
She further spoke about the characteristic of women that men crave and gave a lot of relationship principles and a few caught my eyes like relationship principle 3 and 50 which says;
He doesn’t marry a woman who is perfect, he marries the woman who is interesting.
AND
To encourage the right behavior, state what you want, and then give him the solutions. Show him how he can be your hero.
The author also had a lot of comparisons between a good girl and a “bitch" and explained why the bitch always won.
MY THOUGHTS
Reading this book was a bit annoying to me, it had a lot of silly stereotypes like saying that “men were like Tarzan or kingkong and they liked hunting for their food” and I kept on questioning most of what she was saying.
Furthermore, the book made relationships feel like a mind game to me and I didn’t exactly appreciate it because personally, I don’t date to play games or fake things which was advised a lot.
I do also think that most men might get offended if they read this book, at least my brother was when he read it.
Finally, even though there were a lot of gems regardless in this book, it was consumed for me by the other messages.
RATINGS
I will be generous and give this book a 4 out of 10, I really didn’t enjoy it as it was a bit boring and I have read better books in the dating/relationship genre.
Side note: it is important to note that there is a first part titled “why men love bitches” just in case you would want to read it.
IN CONCLUSION
For me, this isn't a book I would recommend to anyone to read or even read again, I felt like there was nothing special in the book.
Hahaha, babe chill, this is how relationship should be. Let me run before she comes for me 🤣🤣🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🤣🤣
I won't even answer you if not I'll chase you and catch you
Hahaha, please, don't answer me oooo 😂😂
😆 I won't today.
Thank God 😴
You get luck.
Ugh, sounds like a book full of stereotypes and like you said, relationships aren't about playing games. I don't think I'd like this book. Relationships aren't that hard... Just be yourself, be open and be honest. If it works, it works, if it doesn't, you might be better off alone or with someone else. Simple.
Books like this make it so complicated and most times these tips wouldn't work.
I can't even imagine following the rules here.
The title was just the saving grace of the book I guess 🙃
For me, yeah it was.
Pretty much the only reason I picked it up.
Seconded
Yeah
Funny thing is someone somewhere will read this book and depend their love life on most of the things written there.
Life no balance
Hey @osarueseosato
You picked this book back then when we visited the bookshop yeah?
I'd love to know what you think if you read, cos this review sure as hell didn't convince me to go read it
😆 maybe you might like it, I hate stereotypes so I didn't like it, and there was this thing that she did that made "good girls" seem a certain way, kinda relating them being good to weak.
I will like to hear your opinion after reading it though.
Maybe
Maybe not
Thanks for sharing your review though
Thank you for reading.
No I didn't get it.. the one I got was why men want sex and women need love

Ghad, I would be offended by that book... didn't marry a "bitch" that is for sure.
It is such a clickbaity title for sure, the author even said it was sarcasm or something like that.
Hmm, this one you have rated the book poorly is already changing my mind from reading it 😅😅😅 Nevertheless, I am screenshotting this to read later so I can take my eyes off it. Lol
But first off, I need to focus on my final exams coming next month 💃💃💃💃 Good morning Sis.
@dreemport brought me here.
You should get the first part also "why men love bitches", both awful books to me 😆 but at least read both.
You can get the pdf on light reader.
Yea, I am using light reader and I already downloaded the other one. Thank you
No problem, tell me if you like it.
I really love the part of giving a little and drawing back then repeating same thing again. I really love your review of the post and am surely going to look for it.
Thanks for sharing
@dreemport
What is the point of doing all that, you can do all that and it wouldn't still work, I believe in simply going all out in a relationship.
Also, I hope you enjoy it more than I did 😆
You know so many people will disagree with you cos they've gone all out and still ended up heartbroken. Isn't it better to be more careful than to go all out?
Well what's the point when you can do all that and still get heartbroken, there is no manual for love.
😂.. Fact.. We just have to keep praying and hoping we don't get heartbroken.
Exactly.
There is a book shop near my office, I buy there and sometimes borrow to read. I should look for this. Nice review @khaleesii . @dreemport led me here
Tell me what you think if you do.
