Hello Hello Community! ✨, I took a little holiday from reading because although it is something I enjoy a lot, the truth is that sometimes I get tired, especially because I usually read from the phone and my eyesight suffers, and remember that I'm already 25 years old haha, I'm not as young as before and my eyes the same, is for that reason that this book had been downloaded on my phone for several weeks without even being opened, I remember that I downloaded it because I saw a video that recommended it and I liked the premise of the story, but the truth is that when I started reading it I didn't remember the premise haha, so we could say that I got to it without knowing what it was about but I trusted the authors, so today we will talk about The True Love Experiment 📺💖.
📺 SYNOPSIS 💖

He can't afford to be out of work and away from his daughter, so he turns to his ex-wife's favourite novelist to ask her to star in the show. What no one imagined is that the spark of romance would happen not in front of the cameras, but behind them.

This is the second book I read by these authors, because if you didn't know Christina Lauren are two people, so I can say that I went into this book completely convinced that I would like it, and I was not wrong at all because it is a story that left me delighted, I found it extremely interesting and fun to read that the protagonist was just a romance writer, because throughout the story we see a strong criticism of this genre, and I think those of us who often read about it know perfectly well how sometimes romance is undervalued "because it's not real reading", so seeing her defend the genre she writes about with respect and in many occasions even calm, I thought that was the strongest point of this book.
The story is told from both points of view, so we can enjoy these two personalities so opposite to each other, but in the end they end up complementing each other perfectly, and it also gives us the opportunity to understand the way each one behaves. Something that I didn't know at the moment of reading this story, is that it is a second part, that is to say, there is a first book that talks about the romance of Fizzy's best friend, and this second book that was a request that the fandom of that story asked to the authors, so maybe there are things in this book that are better explained in the first one.
Fizzy is ultimately the sparkling force of this story, from the first moment you meet her you know that her personality is marked by the tenacity to say and do what she thinks is right, even when sometimes these actions lead her to make mistakes that she is not afraid to apologise for, I love that as a protagonist she is not afraid to face her feelings once she accepts them, and that she is also not afraid to be the one to make the first move, because yes, here the one who makes the other blush with her statements is Fizzy to Connor haha.
I would have liked to see a little more exploration of certain themes in Fizzy's life, for example her relationship with her family which despite being quite good, it would have been interesting to see her more involved, her sister for example is only introduced in two scenes and her brother doesn't even appear, even when in the book we have her brother's wedding, there are no interactions between them, most of the time the one who is most involved in the book is her best friend.
Connor on the other hand is the calm that Fizzy and the story needed, he is a divorced man with a 10 year old daughter (if I remember correctly) who has made mistakes in his past that he regrets very much, but despite that he has managed to maintain a cordial relationship with his ex-wife, and he has made an effort to be a father who is completely present in his daughter's life, an experience that unfortunately he was not able to live through with his father, so it is in this desire to always be there for his daughter that he cannot afford to lose his job, and it is precisely in this risk that the conflict of this book lies.
Here it's not about whether or not the protagonists have feelings for each other, they acknowledge that and tell each other from the beginning, here the conflict is more adult and that's what I liked so much, we even talk about possible unemployment and lawsuits, two adults who even if they want to can't leave because of impulsivity, although Fizzy does more than Connor haha, and they have to be very smart when it comes to making decisions.

¡Hola Hola Comunidad! ✨, me tomé unas pequeñas vacaciones de las lecturas porque aunque sea algo que disfruto muchísimo, la verdad es que a veces me canso, sobre todo porque suelo leer del teléfono y mi vista sufre, y recordemos que ya tengo 25 años jaja, no estoy tan joven como antes y mis ojos igual, es por esa razón que este libro llevaba bastantes semanas descargado en mi telefono sin ser ni siquiera abierto, recuerdo que lo descargue porque vi un video que lo recomendaba y la premisa de la historia me gusto, pero lo cierto es que cuando comencé a leerlo ya no recordaba la premisa jaja, por lo que podríamos decir que llegue a él sin saber de qué trataba pero confiada en las autoras, así es que hoy hablaremos del El Experimento de Amor Verdadero 📺💖.
📺 SINOPSIS 💖
Felicity Chen (Fizzy) es una aclamada y famosa escritora de novelas románticas, que actualmente se encuentra atravesando una especie de bloqueo escritor, desencadenado por lo que ella considera “la falta de un amor verdadero”, y es que para alguien que se dedica a escribir sobre felices para siempre, comienza a hacer algo bastante irónico que hasta el momento su relación más larga no ha durado más de un mes y solo se han tratado de citas casuales y lujuriosas, sin embargo todo esto cambia cuando le ofrecen ser la protagonista de un nuevo reality de citas y le toca unir fuerzas con un documentalistas de naturaleza.
Connor Prince adora hacer documentales sobre el medio ambiente, pero para la cadena de televisión para la que trabaja esto no le resulta tan lucrativo, así que cuando su jefe le exige ser el productor de un show de citas, Connor entra en crisis, pues no se puede permitir quedarse sin trabajo y tener que alejarse de su hija, así es como recurre a la novelista favorita de su ex esposa para pedirle que sea la protagonista de este show. Lo que nadie imaginó es que la chispa del romance no ocurriría frente a las cámaras, sino detrás de ellas.
📺 SHOW DE CITAS, LIBROS DE ROMANCE Y UN BACKSTAGE CHISPEANTE 💖
Este es el segundo libro que leo de estas autoras, porque si no lo sabían Christina Lauren son dos personas, así que puedo decir que entré a este libro completamente convencida de que me gustaría, y no me equivoque para nada pues es una historia que me dejó encantada, me pareció sumamente interesante y divertido de leer que la protagonista fuese justamente escritora de romance, pues durante toda la historia vemos una fuerte crítica hacia este género, y creo que quienes frecuentemente leemos sobre esto sabemos perfectamente cómo a veces se infravalora el romance “porque no es lectura de verdad”, así que verla a ella defender el género que escribe con respeto y en muchas ocasiones hasta calma, me pareció que fue el punto de mayor fortaleza de este libro.
La historia está narrada desde ambos puntos de vista, con lo cual podemos disfrutar de estas dos personalidades tan opuestas entre sí, pero que al final terminan complementandose de forma perfecta, y además nos da la oportunidad de entender la forma en que cada uno se comporta. Algo que no sabía al momento de leer esta historia, es que se trata de una segunda parte, es decir existe un primer libro que habla del romance de la mejor amiga de Fizzy, y este segundo libro que fue una petición que el fandom de esa historia le pidió a las autoras, asi que quizas haya cosas en este libro que se expliquen mejor en ese primero.
Fizzy es en definitiva la fuerza chispeante de esta historia, desde el primer momento en que la conoces sabes que su personalidad está marcada por la tenacidad de decir y hacer lo que piensa que es correcto, incluso cuando a veces estas acciones la llevan a cometer errores de los cuales no tiene temor de disculparse, me encanta que como protagonista no tiene miedo a encarar sus sentimientos una vez que los acepta, y que tampoco le tema a ser quien dé el primer paso, porque si, aquí quien hace sonrojar al otro con sus declaraciones es Fizzy a Connor jaja.
Me habría gustado que se explorara un poco más ciertos temas de la vida de Fizzy, por ejemplo la relación con su familia que a pesar de ser bastante buena, habría sido interesante verla más involucrada, su hermana por ejemplo solo se presenta en dos escenas y su hermano ni siquiera aparece, incluso cuando en el libro tenemos la boda de su hermano, no hay interacciones entre ellos, la mayor parte del tiempo quien más se ve involucrada en el libro es su mejor amiga.
Connor por otro lado es la calma que Fizzy y la historia necesitaban, es un hombre divorciado y con una niña de 10 años (si mal no recuerdo) que ha cometido errores en su pasado que lamenta muchísimo, pero que a pesar de eso ha logrado mantener una relación cordial con su ex esposa, y se ha esforzado por ser un papá completamente presente en la vida de su hija, experiencia que desafortunadamente él no pudo vivir del todo con su papá, por lo que es en estas ganas de siempre estar para su hija, que no se puede dar el lujo de perder su trabajo, y es justamente en este riesgo donde está el conflicto de este libro.
Aquí no se trata de si los protagonistas sienten o no algo por el otro, eso ellos lo reconocen y se lo dicen entre ellos mismos desde el inicio, aquí el conflicto es más adulto y eso es lo que tanto me gusto, hablamos incluso de posibles desempleos y demandas, de dos adultos que aunque quieran no pueden irse por la impulsividad, aunque Fizzy sí que lo hace más que Connor jaja, y que tienen que ser muy inteligentes a la hora de tomar decisiones.
