Un nuevo día y un nuevo genero del cual hablar en esta oportunidad, siguiendo el Reading Challenge propuesto por mi amiga @nathyortiz. En el reto anterior estuvimos hablando sobre un libro clásico, les estuve comentando sobre uno que me gusta mucho y el cual yo considero que es un clásico moderno, pueden verlo aquí. En esta oportunidad hablaremos sobre un libro de romance, lo cual es muy lindo, sin mucho más que decir les muestro mi propuesta y una recomendación con los ojos cerrados.
A new day and a new genre to talk about this time, following the Reading Challenge proposed by my friend @nathyortiz. In the previous challenge we were talking about a classic book, I was telling you about one that I really like and which I consider a modern classic, you can see it here. This time we will talk about a romance book, which is very nice, without much more to say I show you my proposal and a recommendation with my eyes closed.

¿Alguna vez han escuchado de Travis "Mad Dog" Maddox? Bueno si es así entonces conocen la desastrosamente maravillosa historia de Abby "Pigeon" y Travis. Una historia de amor que comenzó desde el primer momento, aunque ambos (En especial Abby) trataron de evitar para no dañar una amistad tan bonita que formaron en un principio. Este libro es una novela de romance completamente juvenil, siendo sincera en ocasiones puede pasarse un poco de la raya con respecto a la lógica, si saben de historias cliché de Wattpad entonces más o menos saben de lo que estoy hablando.
Con respecto a la historia, es importante mencionar que Travis es uno de los chicos más codiciados de la universidad donde estudian los personajes y del lugar también, además de participar en luchas clandestinas. Abby llego a su vida por casualidad, se conocieron en una de las peleas de Travis y comenzaron con su amistad al día siguiente. Se dice que Travis "ha estado con todas" así que todos pensaron que también se acostaría con Abby, pero ellos dos se esforzaron mucho en demostrar que únicamente eran amigos, cosas salieron bien y otras cosas salieron mal, el caso es que se enamoraron profundamente.
Have you ever heard of Travis "Mad Dog" Maddox? Well if so then you know the disastrously wonderful story of Abby "Pigeon" and Travis. A love story that started from the very beginning, although both of them (Especially Abby) tried to avoid so as not to damage such a beautiful friendship they formed in the beginning. This book is a completely juvenile romance novel, being honest at times it can go a little over the line with respect to logic, if you know about cliché stories on Wattpad then you more or less know what I'm talking about.
Regarding the story, it is important to mention that Travis is one of the most coveted guys in the university where the characters study and the place as well, besides participating in clandestine fights. Abby came into his life by chance, they met at one of Travis' fights and started their friendship the next day. It is said that Travis "has been with everyone" so everyone thought he would also sleep with Abby, but they both tried very hard to prove that they were just friends, things went right and things went wrong, the fact is that they fell deeply in love.
Ya conocemos a la pareja principal, pero tenemos otra pareja que es muy importante en el desarrollo de esta historia. America es una chica bastante loca, la cual es mejor amiga de Abby, y a su vez es novia de Shepley, el primo de Travis. A este punto tenemos dos parejas que son amigas al mismo tiempo y eso lo hace más divertido, todos se conocen y ya saben como interactuar, pero cuando toca ponerse de un lado en las peleas siempre terminan en desastre.
También tenemos otro personaje más o menos recurrente, su nombre es Jesse y es el amigo de Abby, el cual tiene un sentido del humor bastante atrevido pero que fue de apoyo en varios momentos, me gustó su personaje.
Como parte de los personajes que no me gustaron tengo que mencionar a Parker, un interés amoroso de Abby con el cual salió en algunas ocasiones. Era muy odioso, frágil, un poco engreído y su forma de ser era demasiado estúpida. Otros personajes masculinos podemos mencionar al equipo de futbol, los cuales no hablaban demasiado pero su participación era puntual en el desarrollo de la historia y eso me gusto.
We already know the main couple, but we have another couple that is very important in the development of this story. America is a pretty crazy girl, who is best friends with Abby, and in turn is the girlfriend of Shepley, Travis' cousin. At this point we have two couples who are friends at the same time and that makes it more fun, they all know each other and already know how to interact, but when it's time to take sides in fights they always end in disaster.
We also have another more or less recurring character, his name is Jesse and he is Abby's friend, who has a pretty bold sense of humor but was supportive at various times, I liked his character.
As part of the characters I didn't like I have to mention Parker, a love interest of Abby's who she dated on a few occasions. He was very obnoxious, fragile, a bit conceited and his way of being was too stupid. Other male characters we can mention the soccer team, who didn't talk much but their participation was punctual in the development of the story and I liked that.
Además de amar esta historia, me estrese muchísimo. Creo que Travis era una persona un poco difícil, pero siempre intentaba hacer lo mejor que podía y mejoro muchísimo gracias a todo lo que vivió con su "Pigeon". Por otro lado, Abby me estresaba un poco bastante, ya que no entendía las señales de Travis, se preocupaba mucho por lo que podrían hablar las personas y al mismo tiempo hacia cosas por las cuales las personas hablaban más, entonces no entendí mucho esa parte de la historia, creo que era un poco innecesario.
Cada vez que esta pareja peleaba era un estrés total, aún siendo "solo amigos" tuvieron unas peleas muy fuertes como una pareja. Se separaron varias veces, fueron a las vegas a resolver problemas y regresaron con más problemas al punto de terminar. Estuvieron separados con ganas de volver peor Abby no lo hacia posible. Y así tuvieron más momentos estresantes PERO terminaron juntos, el final fue diferente pero divertidísimo.
Besides loving this story, I was very stressed out. I think Travis was a bit of a difficult person, but he always tried to do the best he could and he improved a lot thanks to everything he went through with his "Pigeon". On the other hand, Abby stressed me out a bit quite a bit, since I didn't understand Travis' signals, he was very worried about what people might talk about and at the same time he did things that people talked more about, so I didn't really understand that part of the story, I think it was a bit unnecessary.
Every time this couple fought it was a total stress, even being "just friends" they had some pretty bad fights as a couple. They broke up several times, went to Vegas to solve problems and came back with more problems to the point of breaking up. They were separated and wanted to get back together, but Abby didn't make it possible. And so they had more stressful moments BUT they ended up together, the ending was different but hilarious.
Olvide mencionar que en varias ocasiones fueron mencionados y entraron en acción los miembros de la familia Maddox, Travis tiene 4 hermanos mayores los cuales tienen su propia historia la cual entra en la saga "The Maddox Brothers" la cual comienza desde el 3 libro, siendo Beautiful Disaster el primero y Walking Disaster (La versión de Travis) el segundo libro. Dicen que este libro es muy estpido y toxico, creo que simplemente es un libro de romance juvenil, tal vez no todos los adolescentes viven esta vida, pero es simplemente un libro donde te enamoras perdidamente del personaje principal y te dices constantemente "Necesito un Travis Maddox en mi vida", he leído este libro dos veces y sigo manteniendo esto jajajaja. I forgot to mention that in several occasions the members of the Maddox family were mentioned and came into action, Travis has 4 older brothers who have their own story which enters in the saga "The Maddox Brothers" which starts from the 3rd book, being Beautiful Disaster the first one and Walking Disaster (Travis's version) the second book. They say this book is very stupid and toxic, I think it's simply a teen romance book, maybe not all teenagers live this life, but it's simply a book where you fall madly in love with the main character and constantly say to yourself "I need a Travis Maddox in my life", I've read this book twice and I still maintain this hahahaha.
