Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you are well. I want to follow the weekly prompt held by this community. The book I read is Generasi Phi. At first, I didn't want to read it because it was a mandatory reading for my office, but finally, I read it.
The book tells about the character of the Phi generation. The author translates it without using the name and meaning of the generation that has been understood so far. However, the author uses the name Generation, which is a generation that has many achievements from the previous generation.
This book also reveals how the Indonesian nation's leader, Soekarno, explained that youth are an important group. Soekarno once emphasized that only 10 young people could shake the world. I always hear that sentence from the generation before me, and it sounds very heroic.
This book also explains several things about the challenges that the phi generation always faces. One of them is about social media, which is always an influence on this generation. However, the activities carried out by the phi generation can go viral on social media. One important note is how to use social media so that it does not have a negative impact.
The phi generation in this book is an individual who always does pop culture activities. Even they always think out of the book. However, this generation has a mindset inherited from the previous generation. For example, currently vintage and retro are trending in this generation. This condition affects the previous generation.
In addition to social media, this generation prefers gathering activities. This is also proven by several coffee shops that are often full of young people. This book discusses that the phi generation likes simple things in life plans and ideals. Sometimes also flexible and not ambitious. The most important thing is family happiness.
Reading this book brings positive vibrations in the future because Indonesia will face a golden generation. However, this young generation faces a gap in understanding between the previous generation and is separated by prejudice and stereotypes. That's all I can say, how is the conservation?
