The Return of the Mad Demon- A comic review

in Hive Book Club12 days ago

I still can't believe I've been reading this comic for months, literally up to 6 months and counting. Not that it didn't have enough chapters for me to catch up to or anything,I wasn't just feeling it then. It was a good comic at first but then I just got really bored and dropped it for a while and now,I picked it up recently,I can't get over it again. It is too good!

I hope you have the Webtoon app on your phone, cause it's about to get lit I fear. The Return of the Mad demon is a Webtoon comic written and drawn by Jp and Ihy.

Alright, we've got Jaha Lee, a martial artist with ambitions as grand as they come: he wants to become the God of Martial Arts. Things take a sharp turn when he's targeted by the Demonic Cult for possessing the Jade of Heaven. A chase ensues, and Jaha ends up falling off a cliff – a seemingly definitive end. Except, it isn't. Jaha wakes up to find himself decades in the past, inhabiting his younger self, and armed with the memories of his previous life. He retains the knowledge of his triumphs, his failures, and the betrayals that ultimately led to his downfall. Now, he has a second chance.

The Return of the Mad Demon is more than just another martial arts comic; it's an exploration of destiny, choice, and the weight of knowledge and has a lot of to with history I guess. It asks what you would do if you were given the opportunity to rewrite your past. Jaha knows what's coming. He understands the intricate web of alliances and rivalries that shape his world. He possesses insights into techniques and strategies that could make him unstoppable.

The core question is,Will Jaha use this knowledge to exact revenge on those who wronged him? Or will he strive for something more – a genuine change in the course of history?

Let's consider the stakes: Jaha's actions have consequences. Altering the past can create unforeseen ripples, leading to a future far different from the one he remembers. Can he navigate these complexities without making things even worse?

The Murim world provides a rich backdrop, filled with powerful clans, hidden factions, and ancient traditions. Jaha must carefully maneuver through this landscape, knowing that every decision could have far-reaching ramifications.

The action sequences are visually stunning, combining traditional martial arts with breathtaking displays of superhuman power. You'll feel every blow, every near miss, every surge of adrenaline as Jaha battles his way through a world teeming with danger.

A word of caution if I may; The Return of the Mad Demon doesn't shy away from difficult themes. Jaha will face moral dilemmas, make questionable choices, and grapple with the consequences of his actions. The story explores the nature of power, the cost of ambition, and the blurred lines between right and wrong.

If you're searching for a comic that offers so much, then The Return of the Mad Demon is well worth your time. This is excluding romance,I doubt there was any hint of romance in this comic, just katana and stuff..oh wait- there was?
Well, you'll have to read it to find out.
And by the way,Jaha Lee is so funny!

This is one of the Manhwa I drop after trying it twice. I just can't get the excitement I felt in the other manhwa I read just like Return of the Blossoming Blade. But I'm not completely dropping it, during my second try I almost get there but then something else caught mt attention that I have to drop it again. Haha. Anyways, good for you, you find it good on your second try. I actually like the art style of this so I Will surely read this again. Thanks for the share ✨💃

Right! I had the exact same feeling too!😂 I mean if I was obsessed with it, I'd have finished it within a week but 6 months? Especially since I wasn't really writing exams at the beginning? Nah!😂
Hopefully it excites you the second time!😍

This happens to me a lot. I tend to read so many things at once and then sometimes forget about certain comics that I actually really enjoyed. But perhaps just wasn't feeling all that much at the time. Then going back to it and remembering how good it was.
