A beautiful love story, with a lot of controversies
Hello hello hive community, I hope you are well, I have been very busy these days reading my favorite genre which is the romance with Megan Maxwell, the author of this beautiful saga (the Maxwell warriors) of very powerful warriors of the Highlands, but today only I'm going to talk about the first book that made me fall in love and want to live with romance this beautiful, Wish Granted.
I will start by telling you the story of Megan Philips who lived with her parents and siblings in England, from one moment to the next, she is left in the care of an aunt along with her siblings, but she was treated badly for having Scottish blood in her veins like her mother, this aunt hated these girls for that and accused them of being savages and was going to practically sell them to some of her father's enemies just so they would break them.
Megan was not just any girl, she was a fighter and she did not think twice about taking care of her brothers and escaping from her sinister aunt and those horrible men who wanted to destroy them, they went to the place where her mother came from, to the highlands. There he ended up living with his grandfather, an older man, and joining his clan, where they spent a few quiet years, despite feeling a little out of place since these Scots didn't like his father's English blood either. But his spirit was like that. the fighters did not let them bow down to anything or anyone and they adapted to this. One day the laird Alex McDougal of those lands held a party and brave warriors of his friends arrived and among those was Duncan McRae.
Duncan McRae or The Falcon as he was known to me is a Laird who is a close friend of the Mcdougall clan, a beautiful fighter who loves to battle for his clan, his people. He is used to always going to war and coming out victorious but when he meets Megan all his Being is disconcerted, he has never been so enamored of a woman, no matter how beautiful she is, and yet when he has the opportunity to talk to her, he is even more impressed. Megan's fighting spirit stuns him. Megan is also attracted to him, but because she has English blood she does not think she is suitable to be chosen by a Laird. She also tells her sister that she is enchanted by another Laird. But what these girls don't know is that Their grandfather would set up a trap for the four of them.
But misfortune would knock on his door once again, this time it was his grandfather's turn to die at the hands of those English from whom they escaped years ago and swear revenge, not only that they also made a mess in that place, and created more hatred towards The people who were present blamed them for everything that happened and kicked them off the land. Alex McDougall intervened in all of this and handed the girls over to nothing more and nothing less than the care of the other Lairds who swore to protect them once. Maybe their grandfather was no longer there to take care of them.
Despite all this, Megan, who is used to being in charge of her siblings and not depending on others, does not like having to marry Duncan at all. She only thought about her grandfather and the people who lost their lives because of him at the hands of the disgusting English, And she wanted revenge, she was a warrior and she was never going to depend on anyone and she swore that she would take the lives of the men who hurt her so much by her own hand.
This is the typical clique story, with its happy ending and I love it, it fills my soul with joy and gives me a sense of peace, yes I know it sounds crazy and exaggerated, but why read a book whose ending only ends badly? and leaves you suffering an existential crisis? Hahaha well that's my way of thinking if you like happy endings and pink romance, I recommend it, although sometimes Megan's stubbornness and her antics or Duncan's lack of patience can drive you crazy, it's a beautiful book, which makes you want to travel to Scotland to meet a giant like that hahaha
Although this author is famous for her erotic novels, this book does not belong to that class, and I am already on the fourth book in the saga and it does not have strong scenes, so you can read it with confidence if you don't like that crap HAHAHAHA
I liked these books because they captivated me from the beginning, the author has the ability to immerse you in that era, it is the first Highland saga that I read, and I loved it even though she didn't have much faith in it.

Hola hola comunidad de hive, espero estén bien, estuve muy ocupada estos días leyendo mi género favorito que es el romance con Megan Maxwell, la autora de esta hermosísima saga (las guerreras Maxwell) de poderosísimos guerreros y guerreras de las Highlands, pero hoy solo voy a hablar del primer libro que me hizo enamorar y querer vivir con romance así de lindo, Deseo concedido.
Empezare contándoles la historia de Megan Philips que vivía con sus padres y sus hermanos en Inglaterra, de un momento a otro, queda a cargo de una tía junto con su hermanos, Pero está le daba un mal trato por tener sangre escocesa en sus venas como su madre, esta tía odiaba a estas muchachas por eso y las acusaba de ser unas salvajes y las iba a prácticamente a vender a unos enemigos de su padre solo para que las doblegaran.
Megan no era una muchacha cualquiera, era una luchadora y no lo pensó dos veces en hacerse cargo de sus hermanos y escapar de su siniestra tía y esos hombres horribles que querían destruirlas, se fueron al lugar de donde venía su madre, a las tierras altas. Allí termino viviendo con su abuelo un hombre mayor y uniéndose al clan de éste, donde pasaron unos años tranquilos, a pesar de sentirse un poco fuera de lugar ya que a estos escoceses tampoco les agradaba la sangre inglesa de su padre, Pero así su espíritu luchador no las dejo doblegarse ante nada ni nadie y se adaptaron a esto. Un día el laird Alex McDougal de esas tierras celebró una fiesta y llegaron valerosos guerreros amigos de el y entre esos estaba Duncan McRae.
Duncan McRae o El halcón como me era conocido es un Laird muy amigo del clan de los Mcdougall, un hermoso luchador que ama batallar por su clan, su gente, Acostumbrado a siempre ir a la guerra y salir victorioso pero cuando conoce a Megan todo su ser se desconcierta, nunca había quedado tan prendado de una mujer por más bella que fuera y aún así cuando tiene la oportunidad de hablar con ella queda más impresionando, El espíritu luchador de Megan lo aturde. Megan también se siente atraída por él, pero por tener sangre inglesa no se cree apta para ser elegida por un Laird, también se los dice a su hermana ya que está estaba encantada por otro Laird, Pero lo que no saben estás muchachas es que el abuelo de ellas les montaría una trampa a los cuatro.
Pero la desgracia le tocaría la puerta una vez más, está vez les tocó a su abuelo morir a mano de esos ingleses de los cuales se escaparon hace años y juran venganza, no solo eso también hicieron desastre en ese lugar, y crearon más odio hacia ellas, Las personas que estuvieron presentes les echaron la culpa por todo lo que pasó y las echaban de las tierras, A todo esto intervino Alex Mcdougall y entregó a las muchachas nada mas y nada menos que al cuidado de los otros Laird que juraron protegerlas una vez ya no estuviera su abuelo para hacerse cargo de ellas.
A todo esto a Megan acostumbrada a estar a cargo de sus hermanos y no depender de los demás no le gusto para nada tener que casarse con Duncan, ella solo pensaba en su abuelo y en la gente que perdió la vida por su culpa a mano de los asquerosos ingles, Y quería venganza, ella era una guerrera y no iba a depender de nadie nunca y juro que cobraría la vida de los hombres que le hicieron tanto daño por su propia mano.
Esta es la típica historia clique, con su final feliz y que me encanta, me llena el alma de alegría y me da un como de paz, si se que suena loco y exagerado, pero para que leer un libro que su final solo termina mal y te deja sufriendo una crisis existencial ¿? Jajaja bueno esa es mi forma de pensar, si les gustan los finales felices y el romance rosita, se los recomiendo, aunque a veces te puede sacar de quicio la terquedad de Megan y sus travesuras o la poca paciencia de Duncan, es un libro hermoso, que te hace querer viajar a Escocia a encontrarte con un gigante así hahaha
Aunque está autora es famosa por sus novelas eróticas este libro no entra a esa clase, y pues ya voy por el cuarto libro de la saga y no tiene escenas fuertes, así que pueden leerlo con confianza si no les gustan esas cochinadas JAJAJAJA
Me gustaron estos libros porque me atraparon desde el inicio, la autora tiene la capacidad de sumergirte en esa época, es la primera saga de las Highlands que leo me encantó aunque no le tenía mucha fe.
Bueno espero que les haya gustado mi reseña, no soy de contar demasiado, solo lo necesario o más importante de cada libro, para no dar spoiler es que yo los odio y no me gustaría arruinarle el libro a alguien jajaja
