Hola amigos lectores de Hive Book Club, soy @rayman0630, en esta ocasión voy a estar presentando mi primer artículo en esta comunidad(Jua jajajaj *sonido de risa malvada*), hablando de uno de las novelas que mas me han gustado de mi poderosisíma Colleen Hoover, llamado: Without Merit o, en español, Sin Merit.
Hello friends readers of Hive Book Club, I'm @rayman0630, this time I'm going to be presenting my first article in this community (Whoa hahahaha *sound of evil laughter*), talking about one of the novels that I liked the most from my most powerful Colleen Hoover, called: Without Merit or, in Spanish, Sin Merit.
Ok, primero quiero decir que esto es una breve reseña, acompañado de mi opinión del libro, asi que tal vez haya algunos spoiler, por aquí y por alla👍, pero que se encuentran entre las primeras páginas del libro.
Ok, first I want to say that this is a short review, accompanied by my opinion of the book, so maybe there are some spoilers, here and there👍, but they are among the first pages of the book.
Without Merit es una historia que entra en el género de romance, drama, y problemas de la adolescencia es lo que mejor describiría a este libro tan reflexivo. En primer lugar empezamos leyendo a una chica, que habla acerca de su predisposición a comprar trofeos en una tienda de antigüedades, cada vez que le sucede un hecho deprimente o traumático (Ajá, también fue la primera vez que veo que algo asi serviría a alguien de escape emocional), y va relatando algunos de estos hechos (tú sabes para levantarnos el ánimo). Una adolescente que está harta de su vida, su entorno, su familia, y gran parte de su pasado, como la mayoría de nosotros nos hemos sentido alguna vez, o estamos sintiendo, en nuestra adolescencia.
Without Merit is a story that falls into the genre of romance, drama, and problems of adolescence is what would best describe this thoughtful book. First of all we start reading a girl, who talks about her predisposition to buy trophies in an antique store, every time a depressing or traumatic event happens to her (Aha, it was also the first time I see that something like this would serve as an emotional outlet for someone), and he recounts some of these facts (you know to lift our spirits). A teenager who is fed up with her life, her environment, her family, and much of her past, as most of us have felt, or are feeling, in our teens.
Esta chica, llamada Merit por cierto, se encuentra con un chico y tienen una interacción de gran impacto, que termina con un gran beso, para que lo interrumpa una llamada hacia el chico de la hermana gemela de Merit, Honor. Si pensaron lo mismo que yo están en lo correcto, dicho chico, Sagan, la confundió con su hermana gemela y la besó( Que momento más humillante 凸 ( ̄ ヘ ̄) ).
This girl, named Merit by the way, meets a boy and they have a high-impact interaction, ending with a big kiss, only to be interrupted by a call to the boy from Merit's twin sister, Honor. If they thought the same as me, they are correct, said boy, Sagan, mistook her for his twin sister and kissed her (What a humiliating moment 凸 ( ̄ ヘ ̄) ).
Después de este evento tan raro, empenzamos a leer sobre una Merit, con una familia, llena de problemas nada leves (un montón de locos). Una hermana gemela con un trauma de un amor fallecido y una predisposición a enamorarse de enfermos terminales; una madre sobreviviente de cáncer que, aunque se separó de su esposo por una amante, sigue viviendo en la misma casa; un padre que tuvo una aventura con la enfermera de su esposa para luego casarse y tener un hijo con ella mudandola a la casa de su familia; un hermano mayor que aunque parece perfecto y sin defectos esconde un oscuro secreto que solo él y Merit saben,; y un medio hermanito menor que está en medio de todo esto. Por último una Merit sobrecargada de su realidad y su incesante deseo de escapar de todo.
After this weird event, we started reading about a Merit, with a family, full of not-so-light problems (a bunch of crazy people). A twin sister with the trauma of a deceased love and a predisposition to fall in love with the terminally ill; a cancer-surviving mother who, although separated from her husband by a lover, still lives in the same house; a father who had an affair with the nurse his wife to later marry and have a child with her by moving her into his family home; an older brother who, although he seems perfect and flawless, hides a dark secret that only he and Merit know; and a younger half-brother who is in the middle from all of this. Finally, a Merit overloaded with her reality and her incessant desire to escape from everything.

Lo que me parece interesante de esta novela es que, es como una llamada a los jóvenes y adolescentes a abrir sus ojos, y hacernos mirar todo desde otra perspectiva, en la que no todo gira alrededor de nosotros y de nuestros pensamientos. A tratar de lograr una empatía, una mejor comunicación de nuestros sentimientos con nuestros familiares, no solo el culpar, el ver quien tiene la razón, sino el tratar de comprender tanto nuestros sentimientos internos como el de las personas a nuestro alrededor. Eso sí, la novela es algo deprimente, y si la lees sin ánimo de nada al principio desarrollas un estado de ánimo melancólico, pero la verdad es que vale la pena leer ésta novela.
What I find interesting about this novel is that it is like a call to young people and adolescents to open their eyes and make us look at everything from another perspective, in which not everything revolves around us and our thoughts. To try to achieve empathy, a better communication of our feelings to our relatives, not only blaming, seeing who is right, but trying to understand both our internal feelings and those of the people around us. Of course, the novel is somewhat depressing, and if you read it with no intention of anything at first you develop a melancholic mood, but the truth is that this novel is worth reading.
Sin embargo a pesar de que es una novela algo reflexiva el romance no se pierde de vista, y se va desarrollan momentos fuertes de amor y desamor, que te hacen saltar de alegría o retorcerte de rabia (normalmente dirigida hacia la autora (─‿‿─)), aunque pienso que en este libro el romance está a un segundo plano. No es porque el romance no esté, sino que hay tantos eventos dramáticos familiares en la novela, que le quita muuucho protagonismo al romance, y la verdad es que no esta mal ese cambio.
However, despite the fact that it is a somewhat reflective novel, the romance is not lost sight of, and strong moments of love and heartbreak develop, which make you jump for joy or squirm with rage (usually directed towards the author (─‿‿ ─)), although I think that in this book romance is in the background. It's not because the romance isn't there, but because there are so many familiar dramatic events in the novel, that it takes away a lot of prominence from the romance, and the truth is that this change isn't bad.
Sinceramente, en el desarrollo de la novela no sabes que es lo que va a pasar a continuación, no sabes en que momento ocurrirá el romance. La autora induce al suspenso en los dibujos que nuestro Sagan realiza, que pueden parecer desde metafóricos y extranos, hasta oscuros y bizarros. Y la historia da tantos giros en la trama, que lo ves de una forma al principio del libro, al final del libro lo terminas viendo de una forma totalmente diferente (obviamente luego de saber el contexto de cada uno de los hechos). Y es precisamentte esto lo que te hace seguir leyendo para saber lo viene acontinuación y querer saber más.
Honestly, in the development of the novel you don't know what's going to happen next, you don't know when the romance will happen. The author induces suspense in the drawings that our Sagan makes, which can seem from metaphorical and strange, to dark and bizarre. And the story has so many plot twists that you see it one way at the beginning of the book, but at the end of the book you end up seeing it in a totally different way (obviously after knowing the context of each one of the events). And it is precisely this that makes you keep reading to find out what comes next and want to know more.
Sin más nada que agregar, les recomiendo mucho leer esta novela, que aunque no es mi favorita de Colleen Hoover definitivamente está en el Top 3. Luego estaré escribiendo más recomendaciones y opiniones de un amateur acerca de los libros (mayormente novelas (* ^ ω ^) ) que he leído por aquí. Espero que les haya gustado, que sigan leyendo mis próximas artículos.
With nothing more to add, I highly recommend reading this novel, which although it is not my favorite by Colleen Hoover is definitely in the Top 3. Later I will be writing more recommendations and opinions from an amateur about books (mostly novels (* ^ ω ^) ) that I have read here. I hope you liked it, keep reading my next articles.

Hola, leí este libro hace mucho tiempo y no lo tengo tan fresco, pero también opino igual. No es de mis favoritos de esta autora, pero es una buena historia, muy reflexiva y con un final bastante bien, donde las fichas empiezan a caer en su lugar.
Gracias por leer. Verdad que, aunque fue diferente al romance pasional o al suspenso de otras obras de esta autora, fue muy bueno el libro (@ ^ – ^)
