Reading Journey
Phew, moving to a new city requires a lot of adjustments, especially with my schedule. There are many things I still need to rearrange, particularly my morning habits. So far, I haven't been able to go jogging. To make up for it, I've decided to dive into a new novel that my book-loving friend gave me last Saturday.
Welcome back to my morning reading book session! It's a new habit I'm trying to build to bring back my reading routine after a healthy morning jog (even though I haven't managed to jog today).
I didn't have high expectations for this book because I've read a novel by Ziggy before, which left me with many questions.
Interestingly, this yellow-covered novel with an image of two children and a penguin has been quite surprising. It starts with the story of the main character's grandfather passing away. The main character is a smart and unique 6-year-old girl named Ava, who loves looking up difficult words in the Indonesian dictionary.
Unfortunately, not everything goes smoothly. The reason she always carries a dictionary is that before her grandfather died, he told her how important it is to understand words. So far, I've read halfway through the book and am close to finishing it.
My feelings while reading this book have been quite mixed. It’s often funny because Ava likes to translate words literally from the dictionary she always carries around.
At this point, I think I've reached the main conflict where Ava meets P again and goes to the Nero housing complex to play. Part of me wants to finish this novel, but I'm not sure if I can bear to see Ava suffer any more than she already has.
So that's my reading progress over the past few days. I hope it gives you some new insights too. See you in the next part! If you have any book recommendations, please leave a comment below.
