This book was one of the books that shaped my desire for literature. It was back then in my secondary school. It was one of those required texts, and I enjoyed every bit of it. The story and Santiago and Manolin will never leave my head.

    It is an essentially human book that has only two characters and a unique plot: the sea as the background, the creatures that inhabit it, and the old fisherman who tries to survive with his work. The rhythm of Hemingway's narration is excellent @stevenson7
