Crescendo
Crescendo is the second part of the famous best seller Hush, Hush written by Becca Fitzpatrick where once again the unique life of Nora Grey (our protagonist) with her now boyfriend Patch Cipriano is shrouded in more mysteries and we are left to learn much more about her past and offspring. In the first installment Hush, Hush we learn that Nora's father (Harrison Gray) was very important to her and his sudden and tragic death had left a void that she could never fill, her relationship with Patch helped but it is clear that her father's place in her heart was too big and it was all too recent. In Crescendo they lay bare much of Nora's past and what really happened to her father, how he died and why, plus Nora realizes that she really knows virtually nothing of her origins and as it is a whole new world for her, her eagerness to know all the ins and outs of what was now her reality is ever ascending and descending because the more she discovers the more she fears.
Crescendo es la segunda parte del famoso best seller Hush, Hush escrito por Becca Fitzpatrick donde una vez más la singular vida de Nora Grey (nuestra protagonista) con su ahora novio Patch Cipriano se ve envuelta en más misterios y nos dejan saber mucho más de su pasado y descendencia. En la primera entrega Hush, Hush se conoce que el padre de Nora (Harrison Gray) fue muy importante para ella y su muerte tan trágica y repentina le había dejado un vacío que nunca pudo llenar, su relación con Patch ayudaba pero queda claro que el lugar que su padre ocupaba en su corazón era demasiado grande y todo estaba muy reciente. En Crescendo dejan al descubierto gran parte del pasado de Nora y lo que le sucedió realmente a su padre, cómo murió y porque, además Nora se da cuenta que realmente no sabe prácticamente nada de sus orígenes y como es un mundo totalmente nuevo para ella, sus ansias por conocer todos los pormenores de la que ahora era su realidad están siempre ascendiendo y descendiendo porque entre más descubre más teme.
It has always been difficult to bring out the continuation of a book that became so famous in a short time so I imagine that the pressure that the author Fitzpatrick must have felt was no joke, even so she managed to show off with this book that although it is quite different from the first one because in the first copy many things are unknown, in this second part the world of fallen angels, nephilim and others is part of Nora's life, so in this book many things are revealed and truths are known that will be difficult to accept along with doubts that will test the protagonist as the story unfolds. You also see that side of Nora being officially Patch's girlfriend and although you can tell that what they feel is true, life is not easy and even less to maintain a relationship, especially if it involves a world with a lot of rules that Nora does not understand because she barely knows what her life has become since Patch appeared.
Siempre ha sido difícil sacar la continuación de un libro que se volvió tan famoso en poco tiempo así que imagino que la presión que debió sentir la autora Fitzpatrick no fue ninguna broma, aun así se las arregló para lucirse con este libro que aunque es bastante diferente al primero porque en el primer ejemplar se desconocen muchas cosas, en esta segunda parte el mundo de los ángeles caídos, nefilims y demás forma parte de la vida se Nora, por eso en este libro desvelan muchas cosas y se conocen verdades que serán difícil de aceptar junto a dudas que pondrán a prueba a la protagonista a medida que se desarrolla la historia. También se ve ese lado de Nora siendo oficialmente la novia de Patch y aunque se nota que lo que sienten es verdadero, la vida no es fácil y mucho menos mantener una relación, especialmente si envuelve un mundo con un montón de reglas que Nora no comprende porque a duras penas sabe en lo que se ha convertido su vida desde que Patch apareció.
Marcie Millar is Nora's arch nemesis, she is the rich girl who seems to have the perfect life, looks down on everyone, uses her charms to control men and never misses an opportunity to humiliate Nora. In this book Marcie Millar is shown as a very important character, unlike the first installment where she has little dialogue and we only know a little of her personality, here they go much deeper and reveal why Marcie hates Nora so much, because according to Nora the hatred that Marcie feels is unfounded because she does not remember having done anything wrong in the past, Nora despises her because Marcie has really earned it, and beyond the resentment that they have, we know much more about the life of the unpleasant Miss Millar.
Marcie Millar es la archienemiga de Nora, es la chica rica que parece tener una vida perfecta, ve a todos por encima del hombro, usa sus encantos para controlar a los hombres y jamás pierde una oportunidad para humillar a Nora. En este libro Marcie Millar se muestra como un personaje bastante importante, a diferencia de la primera entrega donde tiene pocos diálogos y solo se sabe un poco de su personalidad, acá profundizan mucho más y revelan porque Marcie odia tanto a Nora, porque según Nora el odio que siente Marcie es infundado porque ella no recuerda haberle hecho nada malo en el pasado, Nora la desprecia porque Marcie realmente se lo ha ganado a pulso, y más allá del resentimiento que se tienen se conoce mucho más de la vida de la desagradable señorita Millar.
In this second part there is much more mystery than in the first part, because like the first book we see the story through Nora and we discover along with her those answers she was always looking for, also Nora knows a little more about Patch as they are now in a relationship there are more opportunities to know a little more of the protagonist but without losing its mysterious charm, we know several personal things about him but nothing in depth, which I really thought was great, because thanks to that they never lose that desire to know more about his past and his personality.
En esta segunda parte hay mucho más misterio que en la primera parte, porque al igual que el primer libro vemos la historia a través de Nora y descubrimos junto con ella esas respuestas que siempre estuvo buscando, además Nora conoce un poco más de Patch como ahora están en una relación se presentan más oportunidades para conocer un poco más del protagonista pero sin perder su encanto misterioso, se conocen varias cosas personales de él pero nada a fondo, lo que realmente me pareció grandioso , ya que gracias a eso nunca pierden esas ganas de saber más sobre su pasado y de su personalidad.
Blythe Gray is Nora's mother of whom we know very little also in the first book. In this book the author Fitzpatrick focused a lot on getting to know a little more about the characters that had small appearances in the first part, and now that I think about it is something quite usual in the sagas, the first book is usually spectacular but they usually have in common the little information they let us know in the story, always leave many loose ends and the lives of the characters always know above and then in the second part give us much more information of the characters we already know added to the new ones that can not miss and thus achieving this hook the reader by providing many details that justify events that occurred in the first part and revealing the why of many things.
Blythe Gray es la madre de Nora de quién sabemos muy poco también en el primer libro. En este libro la autora Fitzpatrick se enfocó mucho en dar a conocer un poco más de las personajes que tenían pequeñas apariciones en al primera parte, y ahora que lo pienso es algo bastante usual en las sagas, el primer libro suele ser espectacular pero suelen tener en común la poca información que dejan conocer en la historia, siempre dejan muchísimos cabos sueltos y las vidas de los personajes siempre conocen por encima para luego en la segunda parte darnos mucha más información de los personajes que ya conocemos sumados a los nuevos que no pueden faltar y logrando así con esto enganchar al lector proporcionando muchos detalles que justifican hechos que ocurrieron en la primera parte y revelando el porque de muchas cosas.
A "friend" from Nora's childhood also reappears, but it is clear that they do not know each other at all, since one does not behave the same way as a child. Nora is not very excited about the meeting because her memories with him, even as a child, are not very pleasant. He is very changed, it seems that he has a somewhat stormy past. Un amigo de la infancia de Nora también reaparece, pero está claro que no se conocen en lo absoluto, pues uno no se comporta igual cuando es niño. Nora no está muy emocionada por el encuentro porque sus recuerdos junto a él aun siendo niños, no son muy agradables. Él está muy cambiado parece que tiene un pasado algo tormentoso Nora intentará por distintos medios descubrir que es eso que oculta con tanto afán pero recuerden a veces hay que dejar las cosas como están, no siempre es bueno indagar a fondo en las cosas porque lo quizás lo que descubras después puede llegar a asustarte y cambiar tu perspectiva de todo.

Becca Fitzpatrick is the author of Black Ice, Dangerous Lies, and the Hush, Hush saga, including Hush, Hush; Crescendo; Silence; and Finale—all four of which debuted as New York Times bestsellers. She graduated college with a degree in health, which she promptly abandoned for storytelling. When not writing, she’s most likely running, prowling sales racks for shoes, or watching crime dramas on TV. She lives in Colorado with her family.
