Found Your Happiness Life with Ikigai Book

Hi ASEAN Buddies...

I know this book because several times through my friend who always mentioned it as a book that she wanted to read. I didn't know what Ikigai was before. Until I finally arrived at the journey of reading self-improvement genre books. She recommended me to read it too without giving a clue, what the book was about.

On the other hand, when I was looking for one of the books recommended by Maudy Ayunda in her youtube video, about how to become a morning person, I talked about the book with my friend in Palembang. I told her I wanted to buy the book but why was it so expensive at the Peri Plus import bookstore. Then she said that she had the Indonesian version and had read it. Because we often exchange books that we have read, she offered the book to me. Of course I accepted it happily, so I didn't have to spend money. Then she offered another book, it was the book Ikigai, which my friend recommended. Of course I asked to give that book too for me, and voila, I ended up reading Ikigai before the book about how to be a morning person.

Yes, let's get it!

Ikigai itself is a phrase or metaphor in Japanese which means the art of living happily while staying busy. What is surprising is that this book was not written by a Japanese person, but by two German writers named Hector Garcia and Francesc Miralles. This is not like the Japanese books I have read before.

In Ikigai, mental issues are discussed and how to overcome them through concepts applied by people in Japan, how they stay busy even though they are not of productive age. In the course of research on Ikigai, the author tries to dissect things related to the lives of many people and relate them to logotherapy.

Besides, this book also includes the secrets of Japanese people who live long and can still do work in their old age. There are also some exercises that we must try like the exercises in the pictures below.

All of those exercises are exercises adapted from Yoga movements and other martial arts movements. I was amazed at the Yoga movements, apparently they have beautiful movements and have their own meaning. The author has done research on the meanings of movements in Yoga. I think that is the reason why people outside India are very fond of Yoga.

While in my opinion, this Ikigai book has shared a lot of understanding about new things that I have never known before, especially about Ikigai and the concept of Topology. Although indeed, I had a little difficulty enjoying this book, unlike the previous Vex King book, this book is still worthy of being on your bookshelf. Especially in the simple short exercises that can be done at home. From here, I want to find the concept of Ikigai from the perspective of other authors.

Have you ever read this book?

Thanks in advance, to read my blog and hope you like my post!
See you on the next post...

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
