RE: Review: Hurricane Season | Brutal Immersion in Secrets of a Forgotten Town [ENG-ESP]

in Hive Book Club12 days ago

This was such an immersive review. I haven’t read Hurricane Season, but now it’s definitely on my radar. I love when a book isn't afraid to challenge the reader, whether it’s with harsh language, non-traditional structure, or uncomfortable truths. It’s clear this story doesn't hold back, and your breakdown of the themes—from poverty and corruption to gender identity and mysticism—makes it feel like more than just a novel. It feels like a storm in literary form, especially with that metaphor of the witch being the eye of the hurricane. That’s hauntingly brilliant. Kudos for such a passionate, honest review—it gave me a real sense of what to expect, and I'm honestly intrigued (and slightly scared, in the best way)!
