In Five Years by Rebecca Serle

in Hive Book Club3 years ago (edited)

This novel is a page-turner; I devoured it in a night! An engaging story with a bit of a supernatural twist (determined not to give away anything here).
This is a fast-moving novel whose characters are fairly believable despite the high-powered New York lifestyle they inhabit. Themes are friendship, love, loyalty, tragedy, and fate. Good escapism here!
Ms. Serle very quickly sets up a tension: the premonition of something that one believes will eventually happen... but how it will unfold is a tantalizing mystery. Beyond the resolution of this unknown, events and choices draw the main character toward self-discovery and greater authenticity, making for a satisfying, yet surprising, conclusion.

Hello, @zialuna! This is @anggreklestari from @OCD team. We saw that you already posted your first post here in Hive Blockchain! Congratulations and welcome! However, it would be awesome if you do an introduction post. As a sample of what an intro post is, you can refer to this intro post for reference:

Keeping Up With the Buzz - My Introduction to the Hive Community

There's no specific format on how you do your intro post, but there is some suggested content that we would love to see in your post. Information like who are you and where you're from, how did you discover Hive or who invited you, what types of content you want to see here and the types that you want to produce, and what are your expectations in this platform. There's no pressure on this. You can choose whatever information you would like to share.

You can tag me @anggreklestari on your intro post then if you have done with it.

Well, you can explore the communities that are suitable for your content. You can read some of the communities in this post: OCD Communities Incubation Program

For tips and information as a Hive newbie, click here: newbie guide.

The important thing is Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog. You can't include content that you don't own without sources. For more information, check this post: Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise.

If you have questions, you can hop into OCD's Discord server and we'll gladly answer your questions. For now, @lovesniper will follow you and we are looking forward to your intro post!

Hello lovesniper. Thanks for the heads up. I wrote my intro post, but don't yet have enough credit for it to publish. Will keep trying until it does.

After helping get your account squared away the other day, I thought I'd check on you and see if you had blogged yet! Glad to see you have! I will arrange for some additional Resource Credits to help get your account off to a good start! Welcome to the HIVE blockchain! 🙂

Everyone on the blockchain is given a certain amount of "RESOURCE CREDITS" (RC) that can be "spent" in publishing posts, writing comments, etc. Everything we do requires a few RC to accomplish, similar to "mana" or "gas" on other blockchains. We are given RC depending on how much HIVE POWER (HP) we have staked. If you don't have much HP, you will use all of your RC quickly. RC recharges at a rate of 20% each day.

We noticed that you have very little HP, and therefore are lacking sufficient RC to do many transactions. You have been given a temporary delegation ("loan") of HP to provide you with a greater allotment of RC, courtesy of @theterminal's RC-assist project. All we ask is that you:
• do not plagiarize
• remain active
• PowerUp rewards to grow your account

The best of luck to you on Hive! 🙂

Thank you very much. I will try to post my introduction now. 😃

Welcome to Hive! The official FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) is like a book on how the blockchain works! We advise that you read it, wait a day, read it again, wait a day, then read it again. You will soon understand all of it! https://hive.blog/faq.html. If you still have questions about Hive after reading the FAQ, you are welcome to join our Discord server where we assist new Hiveans to learn the etiquette and workings of the Hive blockchain. I LOVE what you wrote here! I would like to get a similar critique of my work!
So consider it done. Thank you! HIVE!Regards

Wow, this is a dream project! I've been pondering how to combine permaculture with a co-housing type community. This is so verdant, they obviously don't struggle with the dryness like here in New Mexico. Although I've reduced my water usage by half in the last year with heavy mulching. My compost toilet is a simple outdoor bucket system. This is educational, I didn't realize you could put pee directly on your plants.
