WARNING: Not Safe For Feminist Consumption!

This book really should have that written on the front cover in large neon letters. Granted, the fact that it's an anti-feminist book isn't exactly hidden. It states this in the subtitle and the back-of-book synopsis both. What surprised me was just how anti-feminist it got. Be warned, ladies, this girl came to throw hands and she's not afraid to mess up her manicure doing it.

All The Right Credentials

So first of all, the author is an ex-model with a bachelor's in women's studies and a master's in international law, so there's no dismissing her as "one of those women who stays at home because she's too dumb to make her own way in the world." With a background like that we might think "oh, okay. So she's another Andrea Tantaros; here to tell feminists to chill out a bit because they've already won their equality and now they're becoming misandrists." Oh, no. She makes it a point right from the get-go that in her view, women should not be equal to men!
So now, I guess you're thinking "oh, okay. Another one of those brow-beaten 'submit to your husband' religious types, hm?" Well, strike two! Unless I blinked and missed it, there wasn't even a single mention of religion anywhere in it except a passing comment in the last chapter about male dominance being one of the few aspects of Human society where science and religion agreed. No, Mrs. O'Brie sets out from the beginning to lay out a case, using history, psychology, and evolutionary biology, to prove that women are naturally predisposed to a submissive role and, frankly, are not mentally qualified to go toe-to-toe with men.

And do you want to know something?

...She makes this point very convincingly!

Armed with a survey of the failings of some of history's "greatest" female leaders, an analysis of the dismal history of Western nations in the immediate aftermath of granting women's suffrage, and latter-day research by evolutionary biologists showing that believe it or not, Human females simply have not even finished catching up to our male counterparts because our genome is closer to chimpanzees than it is to Human males (yes, she links the studies that show this), this book is one woman's all-out assault on not only modern feminism but the very idea of feminism at all. In the end, she practically pleads with male readers, referring to women as "animals" and saying "it's time for men to enforce some leash laws."

Do You Have the Guts to Read It?

I dare any feminist to buy a copy of this and read it cover-to-cover. It goes without saying that it will defy everything you have ever believed but more importantly, it backs it up with actual evidence.
