In the month of Ramadan, I actually spent a lot of time making simple food as iftar to pamper family members as an appreciation for fasting all day. It makes everyone very happy and the next day they will be more enthusiastic.
Honestly, it will overwhelm me to think about what to make every day. Even so, I am still enthusiastic about finding ideas, even though it is a foreign food that I have never known before and even adapted from other countries or regions.
Avocado Coco Sago. From the name you can guess this is a food that comes from a tropical country. Inside there are so many types of toppings from avocado, coconut and also nata de coco.
This menu is special, it will quench your thirst after hours of fasting and will automatically add energy and also a good source of nutrition, because there is fruit in it.
The Ingredients:
- 1 piece avocado
- 300 ml Nata de coco and coconut water
- 1 tbsp chia seed
- 500 ml almond milk
- 5 drops stevia
How To Make Avocado Coco Sago:
- I need to make the chia seed expand well, so before prepare other ingredients, I soak the chia seeds for 5 to 10 minutes in warm water. Then strain the chia seeds to separate them from the remain soaking water.
- Choose an avocado that is very suitable for this menu, perfectly ripe and not bitter, then cut into cubes or mashed. However, I prefer avocados that have a slightly hard texture.
- Prepare almond milk, I like almonds because they taste fatter and thicker. Then pour it into a bowl that already contains avocado.
- One pack of nata de coco, strain the remaining water and pour it into a bowl, I only take the nata de coco.
- Coconut water. When buying coconut, I ask for a lot of coconut meat, I have left the water and not mixed it so that the almond milk tastes stronger.
- Add a few drops of stevia and stir until everything is mixed.
- Prepare a glass of ice and enjoy it while it's cold!
This time my nephew helped me make it. He was very happy because this dessert is one of his favorites. He really likes milk, so he was very proud to have helped this time.
