Nowadays everything is easier, I get the strength to make a food that I have actually wanted to eat for a long time. However, you know that bakpao is very difficult to get halal, but it's okay, I have the determination to make bakpao.

It seems like the universe gives something, arranged in such a way to make bakpao. When I was shopping at the supermarket, I got a 50% discount for a pack of special flour for making bakpao. Really, beyond my expectations, it is very cheap to get 1kg of bakpao flour, only 2 dollars, to get 40 pcs of bakpao dough.

But, this is not just any bakpao. I want to make chocolate filled bakpao, have leftover dark chocolate compound and it must be very delicious, where this time I want to make plant-based bakpao, so, don't make meat filling. Just dark chocolate I really like it.

Then than that, making bakpao with dough that has been given instructions and steps and ingredients are very complete, it makes everything very easy. I only need dark chocolate compound.

I divided this one pack of bakpao flour into 2, the rest I will make again next week, because there are very few people in my house, I'm afraid it won't be eaten and there will be a lot left over.

Inside this bakpao premix flour package includes flour, instant yeast, food coloring, sugar, and also vegetable oil. I just followed the steps explained on the back of the package. It's quite easy because I only need 1 hour to make the bakpao dough. That too only kneading it for about 15 minutes and the dough resting time is 45 minutes. Resting the dough is intended to make the bakpao dough rise and have cavities like bread in general.

What I like about bakpao, using a steamer makes it taste so soft. Because it uses water vapor, bakpao rots more easily, unlike toast which releases water content. On the other hand, bakpao only lasts for 24 hours, it can actually be stored in the refrigerator.

I've made sure the bakpao dough uses plant-based, besides it's actually the same as making bread in general, without eggs and without milk. Maybe they use a premix that can make the buns rise.

The easy and white dough is ready to be kneaded and just needs to be filled with chocolate. I use a cloth napkin to cover the top so that flies don't land on it. After I put all the chocolate into the dough, so when I bite it, the chocolate melts and is felt throughout the tongue. I want the chocolate to explode in my mouth, so, compacting the compound chocolate is the best solution, so that it is easy to apply to the bun dough.

I steamed the dough for about 15 minutes. According to the instructions on how to make buns on the package, I even felt like an expert at making buns. Things like this make it easier for us, moreover, it's more economical.

Well, I've finished steaming the buns and it's time to eat them! I call it my first Bakpao.
