Hello everyone,
There are so many types of snacks that can be served when there is a big celebration. Usually every month of Ramadan, I don't forget to make some snacks and cookies that I deliberately make for guests, I will be very economical if I make them myself. As the only daughter in the house, this is what I can count on to make the guests who come happy.
Indeed, I really like cooking, one of the talents that my mother passed on to me. That talent has existed since I was 10 years old, where I always helped my mother every month of Ramadan to prepare various needs. Usually, aside from being enjoyed by myself, the snacks made by my mother are also sold for anyone who wants to buy them, which is quite an extra money for us to buy some Eid needs.
So, I also made some snacks that I made with my mother before. One of my husband's favorite snacks, because he really likes snacks made from peanuts. Well, this time I want to make tojin beans which are famous for their savory, crunchy and full of flavor. This food seems very complicated from its name, but making it is actually very simple. Intrigued by the manufacturing process? Let's look at the following tojin peanuts recipe.
Ingredients;
- 2 kg of peanuts that have been peeled with the best quality
- 250 grams of garlic
- 10 kaffir lime leaves
- 5 pcs candlenuts
- 30 gr salt
- 100 ml thick coconut milk
- 10 grams of mushroom broth powder
- 1 kg of oil for frying
How to make tojin peanuts;
- I think there's a very easy trick to make tojin peanuts, but you have to be careful because if you make a mistake, your tojin peanuts won't be crunchy and will break easily. So, before that, prepare the nuts that will be used and sort them very well from the damaged/rotten peanuts.
- Separate 10 cloves of garlic from 250 gr. Peel the garlic and wash it clean, then put it in the blender along with the candlenuts. Blend the ingredients to become a tojin peanuts mixture.
- 10 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced to enhance the strong taste of the tojin peanuts. Slice with kaffir lime leaves, so that it is more aromatic and has a taste.
- Put the peeled peanuts into a large bowl, then mix with the pure garlic adn candlenut, mushroom powder, sliced kaffir lime leaves and garlic, salt, and 100 ml thick coconut milk. Leave it for 15 minutes to sink in.
- Heat the oil in a wokpan, then use low heat to fry the tojin peanuts. The way to prevent the tojin peanuts from burning easily is to always use low heat until the peanuts look a little brown, then drain from the oil.
- Tojin peanuts are ready to be served as a snack.
See you the next time hive friends!
