I love cooking, but I don't eat much, that sounds funny, but at least I am happy I can make a variety of meals and people around me will enjoy it.
Today, after a lot of stress, I decided to make vegetable sauce with pumpkin leaves and fresh tomatoes, these vegetables contain a lot of nutrients that my body really needs because of the daily stress I go through.
Without wasting time let's check the ingredients and the cooking process.
Preparing this sauce doesn't take much time because I don't like my veggies to get overcooked, I cook vegetables in just 2 to 3 minutes.
The first important thing is to make sure the kitchen environment is well cleaned, wash your cupboards and plates for ingredients, and have everything set so you won't forget any, In a way, you will prepare a healthy meal, clean meal is a healthy meal.
Ingredients
- Half tuber of yam
- 1.5 kilos of fresh tomatoes
- 1 big onions
- 15 seeds of pepper
- A plate of sliced pumpkin leaves
- Half a spoon of salt
- 50 miles of soya oil
Cooking process.
Stage 1.
I thoroughly washed the yam and sliced it into cubes, I love boiling my yam with the back because researchers have shown that boiling Yams, potatoes, and all roots with the back helps them not to lose any nutrients, the most important thing is to thoroughly wash the back very well.
It took me 10 minutes to properly wash and slice the yam into cubes, then place them in the pot and add four cups of water. Then, I allowed it to cook for 45 minutes I like
my yam is very soft.
Stage 2.
As the yam was cooking, I got the ingredients for the sauce ready, sliced the onion and fresh tomatoes, blended the fresh pepper, and got everything set while the yam was still cooking.
Stage 3
The yam is well-cooked, so I drained out the water so that it would not soak more water and get softer than I expected. Then I placed a well-washed po on the fire, allowed it to dry, and added the soya oil, I used just 50 mL because I don't have too much oil in my sauce.
Immediately the oil heated up, I added the sliced onions and sliced tomatoes then salt
I allowed the tomatoes to cook for just two minutes then I added the sliced pumpkin leaves that had been thoroughly washed
I stirred it very well and allowed it to cook for just three minutes, taste for salt then I put off the light.
stage 4.
Finally, my Yam and vegetable sauce was ready, I pilled off the back of the yam and served it with three spoons of vegetable sauce.
This vegetable sauce is simple to make and is also a multipurpose sauce, you can boil rice and enjoy it yourself, and you can also enjoy it with boiled potatoes or even beans.
