Hoy quiero compartir una receta para preparar un delicioso dulce de concha de Patilla (Citrullus lanatus) con almíbar de Naranja (Citrus X sinensis) y Coco (Cocos nucifera L), estas frutas son ricas en vitaminas A, C, y B, también minerales como el Calcio y Potasio, además un contenido de agua.Hola comunidad #Planpower(vegan), feliz y bendecido viernes, en unión de familiares y amigos.

La concha la patilla tiene una gran textura, a pesar de su alto contenido de agua, con ella se preparan confitados, muy usados para los panetones en Navidad, rellenar panes y otros postres.

El dulce de patilla es sencillo de preparar, se puede combinar con frutas cítricas o la de nuestra preferencia y el resultado es un rico dulce parecido al de Lechoza (Carica papaya), inicialmente quería combinarlo con parchita, pero solo tenía naranja en casa y pulpa de coco ; ya que el día anterior había preparado leche de coco, agregué esas dos frutas y el resultado fue muy bueno 🤗.

Today I want to share a recipe to prepare a delicious sweet of Patilla shell (Citrullus lanatus) with syrup of Orange (Citrus X sinensis) and Coconut (Cocos nucifera L), these fruits are rich in vitamins A, C, and B, also minerals such as calcium and potassium, plus a water content.Hello community #Plantpower(vegan), happy and blessed Friday, in union with family and friends.

The shell of the patilla has a great texture, despite its high water content, it is used to prepare candied fruits, widely used for panettones at Christmas, filling breads and other sweets.

The patilla candy is simple to prepare, it can be combined with citrus fruits or the one of our preference and the result is a rich candy similar to Lechoza (Carica papaya), initially I wanted to combine it with parchita, but I only had orange at home and coconut pulp; since the day before I had prepared coconut milk, I added those two fruits and the result was very good 🤗.


INGREDIENTES

Concha de Patilla (200 grs)
Naranja (2)
Azúcar (200 gr)
Pulpa de Coco.
Clavo de Olor.
Guayabita.

Coconut pulp.
Clove.

PREPARACIÓN

Lavé las conchas de patilla con agua y vinagre, luego con mucho cuidado le quité la cáscara verde, corté en julianas y retiré la parte roja.

PREPARATION

I washed the patilla shells with water and vinegar, then carefully removed the green peel, cut into julienne strips and removed the red part.

Lavé las naranjas , luego las exprimí y reservé.

Llevé una olla al fuego con dos tazas de agua, luego agregué las conchas de patilla, guayabita y clavo de olor, dejé en cocción a fuego medio para integrar los sabores; hasta que el agua redujo a la mitad.

I took a pot to the fire with two cups of water, then I added the patilla, guava and clove shells, I let it cook over medium heat to integrate the flavors; until the water reduced by half.

Luego agregué el azúcar y dejé nuevamente en cocción por 20 minutos a fuego bajo.

En una olla agregué el jugo de naranja y azúcar, llevé al fuego removiendo constantemente con una paleta de madera hasta disolver el azúcar.

In a saucepan I added the orange juice and sugar, I took it to the fire stirring constantly with a wooden paddle until the sugar dissolved.

Seguidamente añadí la pulpa de coco, continué removiendo hasta obtener la consistencia deseada.

Agregué el almíbar al dulce y dejé cocinar por 15 minutos a fuego bajo, retiré y terminado! un fresco dulce para compartir en familia.

Hola @tere.alv sí, es muy sabroso,con las conchas de sandía también se puede preparar cabello de ángel, la primera vez que lo comí no imaginé que fuera con con concha de sandía, estaba muy bueno realmente.

Hola estimada @yessi08, si lo pruebas jamas te imaginas que es concha de patilla, tiene un sabor parecido a la lechoza pero es más crocante, lo puedes combinar con la fruta de tu preferencia, a mi me gusta con frutas cítricas, queda delicioso.
