The reason is quite simple, weekend nights are nights to relieve stress. And I will serve a special dish. If I am diligent then I will cook, if I am lazy enough then the only way is we eat out. Hahah
What do you think about tempeh? I have shared many recipes for processing tempeh. But this time I will share a recipe for a very special tempeh dish. Of course it does not eliminate the nutrients and taste of the tempeh itself.
By slightly changing the original recipe that is often seen on social media. Finally I found the perfect taste to serve. And yes, you can see how tempting this menu is. I named it Tempe Bistik . a vegan menu that you must try.
Ingredients used
- 1 block of tempeh
- 10 tbsp wheat flour
- 7 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 pc garlic
- 1 tbsp pepper powder
- 1 tbsp coriander
- 2 stalks of sop leaves
- 100 ml water
- 1 tbsp salt
- 2 pcs Coriander leaves
Sauce ingredients:
- ½ onion
- 2 pcs garlic
- 20 ml water
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sweet soy sauce
- 1 tsp salty soy sauce
- 1 tsp sweet and sour sauce
Cooking instructions
- Purify the tempeh by blending it.
Prepare a blender/chopper, put the tempeh that has been cut into small pieces into the blender. Together with garlic, pepper, coriander and salt by adding water to the blender.
- Blend until the mixture is smooth.
- Once the dough is smooth, separate it into a bowl.
- Add the flour and cornstarch. Then knead until all the flour is evenly distributed.
- After the flour is evenly distributed, add the pureed sop leaves into the dough, knead the dough again.
- Make sure the texture is thick and can be shaped.
- Then, prepare half the cooking oil on Teflon.
Heat the oil.
- Fry the dough, here I fry the dough while shaping it so that it slightly resembles pieces of meat
Fry until golden brown. and cook on medium low heat. so that the dough inside is cooked evenly.
- Well, while waiting for the dough to be ready to be fried. let's prepare the sauce ingredients, slice the onion and garlic (finely chop the garlic)
- Prepare some oil on a Teflon. Heat it.
Stir-fry the garlic and onion.
- Prepare the sauce
- After the sweet soy sauce, salty soy sauce and sauce are mixed well. Add 2 tbsp cornstarch with 20 ml water.
- Once the onions are fragrant, add the sauce.
Cook on low heat until cooked. then correct the taste. here I do not add salt sugar and others.
Prepare the fried tempeh. Coat it with the cooked sauce. And ready to serve. You can add a little bit of boiled vegetable on the plate.
