Healthy porridge yam with enough pumpkin leafs

Introduction

For the past one week now, I'm not strong health wise. After taking some medications, am still not strong enough. And because of that, I decided to consume more of vegan foods and that prompts the idea of making porridge yam with ripe plantains with enough pumpkin leafs. This is the ingredients and the steps below 👇🏿.

  • Enough pumpkin leafs

  • Palm oil

  • Onions 🧅 two balls

  • Fresh tomatoes 4 seeds

  • Dried chilli peppers

  • Salt

  • Five ripped plantains

  • Half tuber of yam

  • Water

To start, this is the first thing i did was to pill off the back of the yam or the shell. Same with the plantains. Washed twice with a clean water.

After that, i put the amount of water i needed which wont cover the yam and and plantains since it's porridge, i dont need enough water.

The second thing is washing of the vegetables and slicing them properly.

I washed it twice with salt to remove sands and bacteria 🦠 from the vegetables together with the fresh tomatoes and onions.

Done with the slicing of the vegetables, next was to slice or chop the fresh tomatoes and onions.

All the chopping and slicing is over. Now it's cooking procedures. Remember, the chopped yams and plantains is already in the pot, so, i on the gas cylinder and place it on top of it. Immediately it starts boiling, i put the chilli peppers palm and salt and close to boil for 30 minutes before adding other oil things.

After 30 minutes i opened the pot to taste it. I actually love the taste but i needed to add more oil which i deed then add the pumpkin leafs.

This time, it's under 3 minutes and i mixed properly to my desired taste. And lastly added the chopped fresh tomatoes and onions.

The food is ready to serve. Come and eat friends.

Why i choose pumpkin leafs this time is because, it has a lot of health benefits. It is enriched with vitamins , it boosts immunity , support's eye vision, boost immunity and good for strong bones. It has a lot of health benefits which you will never want to miss. Not only that, it taste great 😃 in the food. I enjoy eating it. On the other hand, the fresh tomatoes 🍅is good for heart , good for food digestion and presents cancer. Has a sweet taste and sometimes i enjoy eating it raw. Both the pumpkin leafs, fresh tomatoes and onions enriched the food and giving it a pleasant taste.

In my country it is not usual to eat the pumpkin leaf, it is not the custom but seeing the benefits they bring to health I will try to incorporate it into my diet, that if I get the pumpkin leaves that are usually discarded here, greetings and blessings.

What an amazing meal. I have been longing to make one myself, but I have really had the time to go to the market. I buy and keep food stuffs most times due to the nature of my job, and vegetable cannot be kept for long
