Ramadan is here!
Muslims fast for a whole month. Preparing iftar food/s is important. After fasting from dawn to sunset, eating at the time of breaking the fast is very pleasant. Here I share a recipe for our family's iftar food a few days ago, suitable for vegans:
Ramadhan tiba!
Para orang Islam berpuasa sebulan penuh. Menyiapkan makanan bukaan adalah hal yang penting. Setelah berpuasa dari terbit fajar sampai tenggelam matahari, makan di waktu berbuka sangat menyenangkan. Berikut ini aku berbagi resep sebuah makanan bukaan keluarga kami beberapa hari yang lalu, cocok untuk vegan:
INGREDIENTS: |

■ 9 potatoes |
■ Some green chilies |
■ Some cayenne peppers |
■ 2 cloves of garlic |
■ 1 clove of shallot |
■ Cooking oil |
■ Salt |
■ Water |
■ Tamarind to taste |
■ Sugar to taste |
BAHAN-BAHAN: |

■ 9 buah kentang |
■ Beberapa cabai hijau |
■ Beberapa cabai rawit |
■ 2 siung bawang putih |
■ 1 siung bawang merah |
■ Minyak goreng |
■ Garam |
■ Air |
■ Asam jawa secukupnya |
■ Gula secukupnya |
HOW TO MAKE:
CARA MEMBUAT:
■ Wash the potatoes.
Cuci kentang-kentangnya.
■ Peel the potatoes. Then wash again.
Kupas kentang-kentangnya. Lalu cuci lagi.
■ Slice the potatoes. Then wash again. Add salt. Stir.
Potong-potong kentang-kentangnya. Lalu cuci lagi. Berikan garam. Aduk-aduk.
■ Fry in cooking oil. Then the fried potatoes are ready.
Goreng dengan minyak goreng. Maka kentang goreng sudah jadi.
■ To make the sauce, put some green chilies, some cayenne peppers, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 clove of shallot, cooking oil into the blender. Blend. Add water if fiber (difficult/can't blend).
Untuk membuat sambal, masukkan beberapa cabai hijau, beberapa cabai rawit, 2 siung bawang putih, 1 siung bawang merah, minyak goreng ke blender. Blender. Tambahkan air kalau serat (susah/tidak bisa diblender).
■ Saute some of the result of the blender, tamarind to taste, sugar to taste, salt to taste with cooking oil.
Tumis sebagian hasil blenderan, asam jawa secukupnya, gula secukupnya, garam secukupnya dengan minyak goreng.
■ Turn off the fire. Leave for a few minutes.
Matikan api. Diamkan beberapa menit.
■ Add the fried potatoes. Stir.
Tambahkan kentang gorengnya. Aduk-aduk.
■ Serve on a plate.
Sajikan di sebuah piring.
