Hello, community and all food lovers greetings.
The winter and Christmas are combinations of good food, heavy food, and rich food. Everybody likes to make delicious food serve and eat it. But after that we need to balance our digestion with some light and easy food.
We start our routines once a week with very light food and once a week fasting just fruits and juice and water.
But after fasting need something light to eat so today I made this easy salad with lots of fiber that is easy on the stomach.
Using available ingredients rich in flavonoids and flavones (natural colors of food) that are full of antioxidants.
10 grapes
1/2 pomegranate
1/2 cucumber
3 small carrots
1/2 sweet red paprika
1/2 lime
1/2 cup brown chickpeas
1 bowl lettuce
The brown chickpeas contain nutritional fibres that provides bulk, prevents constipation and eases stress on the intestines. they have carbohydrates, amino acids, proteins, flavonoids, iron, phosphate, chloride and many other nutrients.
dressing
1 tbsp mustard oil
1tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
All vegetables and grapes washed in salt water and baking soda
Cut them according to the easiest way.
I started with lettuce leaves.
Then carrots
Placed cucumber slices and grapes in the center, with red paprika around.
Then the rest of the pomegranate seeds/kernels and brown chickpeas.
In a pan heat oil. added mustard seeds.
Then salt and pepper. switched off the heat and added
Lime juice
Stirred mixture well and spread on salad.
This dressing reduces the gas in the stomach which is normally formed by green vegetables as well as chickpeas. Here we are using brown chickpeas that are full of fibers because of their peels and they help like laxatives. The mustard seeds and oil gives a good taste to the salad and improve the overall metabolism of the body.
our salad is ready and we enjoyed it for our lunch today.
