Good morning, HIVE friends! How are you all doing? I hope everyone is well. Today, I'm excited to introduce a new dish with a unique flavor – red pea cutlets. Red cowpeas, also known as adzuki beans, are a nutritious legume crop that not only provides essential nutrients but also elevates your culinary experience.
In this culinary journey, I've prepared a well-balanced diet using red peas in a novel way, and I'm eager to share the making process with you. Let's dive into the steps of creating these delicious and nutritious red pea cutlets.
Required Ingredients...
🍀 Red cowpea 150g.
🍀 Some finely chopped noodles.
🍀 A little wheat flour.
🍀 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder.
🍀 Salt to taste.
🍀 curry leaves.
🍀 A little crushed ginger.
🍀 A little crushed garlic.
🍀 1 teaspoon pepper.
🍀 Half a finely cut onion.
🍀 2 tablespoons cooking oil.
🍀 Coconut oil 350ml.
Method of making....
First soak red cowpea in water for 5 or 6 hours and wash them. Cook the chickpeas in a pressure cooker or on the stove until they are soft and easily mashed.
After cooking the peas, drain any excess water and blend them until completely mashed using a blender.
Then take a pan and add ginger-garlic paste, onion and curry leaves to it and fry until golden.
Next, add chili powder, pepper powder, salt, and crushed red cowpea. Mix well and let it sit for about 2 minutes before removing it from the stove.
Then take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a round or oval cutlet. Cutlets can be thick or thin as you like.
Then take about 4 table spoons of wheat flour and add a little water to it and mix it to a liquid state.
Then add the dried red cowpea balls to the wheat flour mixture and mix it. After that mix it with finely chopped noodles and keep it separately. As in the following images.
Then take a vessel, add coconut oil to it and put it on the stove. After it gets hot, add the prepared balls and fry until golden.
So this food is done. Make a delicious treat with this simple and nutritious red cowpea cutlet recipe. It can be added to food with rice or shorteats . These cutlets are sure to become a culinary favorite. Embrace the goodness of chickpeas and treat yourself to a delicious and nutritious dining experience.
