Today I made this delicious meal, beans and potato porridge for my family. Beans is an iron food so it gives us energy, beans is also good for everybody most especially for the men and also for the children.
This food is a delicious food and it can be eating anytime, anywhere and anyhow you like. So today I'm going to show you guys the easy way to cook this delicious meal in your home and all the ingredients that I use in prepare the food.
INGREDIENTS USED BELOW
2 cups of beans
3 pieces of potatoes
1/2 red oil
1 bulb of onion
2 pieces of tomatoes
10 pieces of pepper
Salt for taste
Water
PROCEDURE
I'm going to explain this to you guys in such a way you can understand it and will be able to take it step by step one after the other.
STEP 1
I first of all select the good beans out of the bad ones so that there will be no chaff.
I put my beans in a clean pot that I have already washed and add water into it and parboil it so that it will kill all the chemicals use in preserving it.
STEP2
While the beans is on fire I start to peel my potatoes to wash with a clean water.
After that I wash my potatoes and cut into smaller slices and set aside.
STEP3
After that I bring my tomatoes, pepper and onion together in a clean water to wash.
After that I put my tomatoes and pepper into my hand blender to blend, I have already separate my bulb of onion from it because I will like to cut it instead of blending.
After blending my tomatoes and pepper l cut my onion in a clean plate and set aside.
STEP4
Now my beans have been cooked well, I like to cook my beans like 30 minutes to be soft because potatoes are soft and it don't last on fire more than 5 minutes.
Then now I sieve my beans because I like to sieve out the first water that comes out from the beans.
After that I wash the beans in a clean water into a bowl and set aside.
STEP5
I put my dry pot on the fire and porn my red oil into it.
I don't want the oil to bleach so I porn in my chopped onion into it also.
Then I add my blended tomatoes and pepper into it also.
After that I put my salt for taste and mixed together.
Then I add small water into the pot because I have already cooked my beans very well already.
Now I add my beans and after that I add my potatoes together and mixed up together so that all my ingredients will all mix into them as well and cover my pot to cook for 5 minutes.
STEP6
Now you can see the face of the beans when ever you see this oil coming out like this, you know that it is well cooked. Beans and potato porridge is good for the family that is my husband's favorite food.
