A warm greetings this community, A place where people that matters are. You guys are so wonderful and great my regards to you all.
My people I made an African recipe today, jollof rice with red_oil some call it (palm oil). It is a nice recipe in my family when we are very little my mommy used to cook it for my father it was one of his favourite. My daddy likes it when it comes to natural. He likes it when you cooks naturally especially when you want to cook rice like jollof he will say before he go out cook that rice with red_oil and scent leaf. As little as we are then we will be like why this man always likes this combo. But is now that I understand better now is also one of my daughters favourite too.
INGREDIENTS
3 Cups of rice
1 bulb of onion
4 tablespoons of red_oil(palm oil)
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 teaspoon of curry powder
1 tablespoon of salt for taste
1 small size of avocado peer
4 pieces of fresh red pepper
Scent leaf 🍀
Water
PROCEDURE
This is time to show you guys how this red_oil rice is prepared
First I wash my rice and pour into my pot to pre_boil for like 10 minutes
Then start to prepare my ingredients one after the other
I wash my bulb of onion and cut into pieces then set aside
Wash my pepper and cut also then set aside
After that I wash my scent leaf 🍀 and cut into pieces and also set aside
Now that all my ingredients is ready I bring my pot of rice down then wash and pour into my sieve to remove water
I set my pot on my gas cooker to dry water and after the water has dry I put in my oil
I don't want it to bleach because I'm not adding tomatoes so I add my chopped onions and my curry powder to mix
Then add my cut pepper and the nutmeg and also my salt for taste then mix as well
After that I added some water and set to boil for some minutes
Now my water has boil I add my wash rice to cook for like 15 minutes
Now my pot of rice has dry some water so I add my scent leaf 🍀 and mix till all mixed together
Here is the out come of my pot of delicious meal yummy yummy and sweet 😋
Time to dish out my food. Come let's go and eat and enjoy.it time to eat
