Vegetable Yam Porridge

Hello friends of plant power vegan community, I hope you are all fine and healthy. Today I bring to you another simple and delicious plant based meal. Yam is a food known in different countries and cultures and can be prepared in various ways. This particular recipe focuses on plant based yam porridge and a mixture of vegetables is used for this dish. It is perfect for #Vegans

INGREDIENTS
5 Inches Yam
3 Cooking spoons palm oil
1 onions
2 fresh tomatoes
7 hot peppers
1 tablespoon salt
Handful of dried mix vegetables
Fresh scented leaves
Water

PREPARING INGREDIENTS
Cut and peel yams then dice into cube or square shape, wash and set aside.

Next, wash and chop or grind tomatoes and peppers, slice onions and set aside.

Pluck fresh vegetables from stem, slice and set aside.

Our ingredients are ready. Lets proceed to cooking.

COOKING PROCEDURE

STEP 1
Pour washed and diced yam into a clean pot, add 4 cups of water and set on fire.

STEP 2
Add salt, fresh pepper, tomatoes and onion and bring to a boil.

STEP 3
Add dried vegetables and palm oil and cook for 15 minutes or until yam is tender.

STEP 4
Lastly, add freshly washed and sliced scented leaves for extra spices. Cook for 1 minute and our porridge yam is ready to be enjoyed.

It can be enjoyed in any weather but best enjoyed during cold weather.
