Make a simple cake without eggs and mixer.

Hello all HIVE friends. Today I will make a cake that I have never made before. This cake was inspired by a recipe that accidentally appeared on my social media and then I tried to practice it with my own improvisation. Why is that because in the original recipe this cake actually uses coconut water but because I don't have coconut water I use coconut milk instead then because I don't have white oil and I don't want to replace it with vegetable oil I use a little margarine instead then in the original cake recipe it uses granulated sugar but because I don't use it anymore so I replace it with a little palm sugar to have a little sweet taste so the name I gave my cake is simple palm sugar cake. And when I write this I am also waiting for the cake that I am currently steaming and I will see the results in the next few minutes whether it is successful or not.

The ingredients I use in this recipe are:

1. 1 cup Tapioca flour

2. 5 tablespoons rice flour

3. 50 grams of palm sugar

4. 50 grams of margarine

5. 350 milliliters of thick coconut milk

6. ½ tablespoon Fermipan.

The stages of making this cake I will share with you below:

The first step I take is to melt the margarine by steaming it

The second step is to mix the tapioca flour and rice flour into one container

And the next step is to mix the fermipan into it then I stir until everything is mixed well

And the next ingredient I put in is thick coconut milk which I pour little by little while continuing to stir so that no flour clumps

Then the next step is I put in the palm sugar that I have previously sliced thinly and stir again until the palm sugar is mixed well

Then I take the melted margarine and I pour it into the dough then I stir again until it is even and becomes yellow like this.

After I stir it then I cover it with a clean cloth and I rest the dough for 1-2 hours.

After 1.5 hours I waited for the results to be like in the picture, then I stirred it again and I put it into the mold

After that I steamed it with a steamer that I had previously heated,

I waited for my cake to be steamed for about 30 minutes and after that I let it cool down

Because this cake is made from tapioca, I am sure the texture and taste will be chewy.

After I took it out of the steamer I was immediately down because the shape of my cake did not rise and did not match my expectations. I was so sad, what was wrong, my friends. After I analyzed it, it seemed like I used too much coconut milk. However, the taste of this cake is just right, not too sweet and I like its soft chewiness. However, I don't like this shape and this time I say my cake is a FAIL. Please forgive me, my friends, next time I will fix the recipe again so that it works perfectly, please support my enthusiasm. Greetings from maytom Indonesia
