Welcome to my blog again. I am so glad that you are here. Hope you all are good and enjoying your life with tasty and delicious food. I am also good and these days enjoyed lots of festival snacks and sweets.
Today i wanna share one sweet snack recipe called shakkar pare which we mostly made for diwali festival. This is diamond shape cookie which is sweet in the taste. Even we can make it's savoury version also. But today i want to share it's sweet version which i loves alot.
Shakkar pare also known as khurma and shankarpali is a snack which is sweet in taste. Shakkar pare is made by refind flour (maida ), jaggery/sugar and oil. We have to deep fry these shakar pare. Even this is not much healthy but it is good to enjoy homemade sweet snack on festival rather than market Sweets.
We use jaggary instead of sugar to make it healthy. It consume time but all your time and work will worth while we enjoy it with loved ones.

INGREDIENTS โ
- Refined flour (maida) 2 cup
- Jaggery 3/4 cup
- Salt 1 pinch
- Oil 3-4 tbsp
- Water
- Oil for frying
PROCESS โ
STEP 1 :
First take jaggery and melt it in water. You have to make jaggery syrup.
First heat 3/4 cup water and add jaggery in it. And And keep burning the jaggery on low flame till it gets completely malted.
Within 2-3 minutes you can see the jaggery syrup is ready .
STEP 2 :
Now you have to knead the dough. For that take maida , one pinch salt and oil. Mix all well and knead a soft dough using jaggery syrup water.
Cover and rest the dough for 30 minutes.
STEP 3 :
Now make the dough soft and divide it in 3-4 parts. And flatten the dough in big size and cut like this in the diamond shape or as you like.
This step takes some time and effort.
STEP 4 :
Now in deep kadai heat the oil and fry all shakkar pare on the low to medium flame till it turn golden brown.
Your shakkar pare is ready. It looks like that.
It is really a delicious snack. Enjoy it with your loved ones.
