Mushroom pepper soup with white rice

Let's have dinner together, today am bringing a new recipe on how I prepare a delicious dinner for me and my husband I wanted to prepare for the family but something happened and the dinner was only for me and my husband and I prepare another thing for the kids.

I went to market and I saw this woman selling mushroom because here is not season of mushroom and I was surprised to see mushroom in the market today and I wanted to buy all of the mushroom but telling the woman to park everything to me she said that someone has already buy everything and I was sad.
Standing there confused and unhappy the person that bought all of the mushroom came along and she saw my unhappy mood and ask my why am standing like this and I told her that I want to buy mushroom but the seller said that she has sold everything and that she is waiting for the owner to come take them. so the woman who bought the hole mushroom had pity on me and she told the seller to give me small portion and the seller did so and I was very happy and excited.

Reaching home my husband is already at home and I told him my story in the market how the woman had pity on me and give me small portion so my husband was also happy but he said that he wanted to have rice as dinner that I should cook the rice white and cook the mushroom pepper soup and I happily cooked them.

INGREDIENTS USED
2 cups of rice
1/2 paint of mushroom
6 piece of pepper
Salt to taste
1 medium Onion
6 leafs of Utazi leaf
Water.

Utazi leaf is one of the local leafs use to garnish some of our local delicacy and the Utazi leaf is a little bit bitter.

PROCEDURE
RICE
In a clean pot I put my rice and add water and cook, in the next 10 minutes I will bring my rice down and wash.

After washing I will put my rice back in pot and put on fire and add water after adding water I add salt, the salt will help the white rice to have taste.
In the next 45 minutes my white rice is done.

MUSHROOM
I will first use my kitchen knife to remove sand from the mushroom and also cut them into pieces.
There is always lots of sand in mushroom so mushroom needs extra carefulness when cooking.

After removing sand I will now wash with water and salt why I add salt when washing is because it helps to remove sand easily.

After washing I put them in a clean pot and put on fire
And I will wash my onions and peppers and slice them.

After sliceing I will put my salt first before adding my sliced onions.

I add pepper.

After adding pepper I will allow the mushroom to bring out water on its own.
This will help the taste of pepper, onions and salt to enter in the mushroom very well.

And once the water from the mushroom is about to dry you now add the quality of water you want. As for my I add 1/4 cup of water to my mushroom pepper soup.

I will allow my mushroom to be soft before I add my Utazi leaf and immediately I add the Utazi leaf is will bring my pot of mushroom pepper soup down.

Good recipe, but please enter the scientific name of the Utazi plant. You know what plant it is, but other people in the world may not identify it by the common name, so the scientific name is necessary when dealing with uncommon vegetables or fruits.

Simple but nice dish I see you use often rice it's common in your country? We in Italy usually we use it only for made risottos.

Rice is common here and is our common food here

Wow this dish looks really good, I would love to try it, I think I'm already hungry!
