I always have some health problems but to keep myself healthy and nourished tonight I decided to cook a rich rice using a type of rice that is not very popular here, basmati, is it known to you? I think it has Indian origins, however in Italy not many people use it but I like it a lot, especially with spices like curry or turmeric.
For this recipe you will need:
- 100 grams of basmati rice
- 1 courgette
- 2 medium carrots
- 5 tablespoons curry
- 4 tablespoons of fine salt
First we take the carrot, peel it and then cut it into medium-sized or thin slices as you prefer.

Siempre tengo algunos problemas de salud pero para mantenerme saludable y nutrido esta noche decidΓ cocinar un rico arroz usando un tipo de arroz que no es muy popular aquΓ, basmati, ΒΏlo conoces? Creo que tiene orΓgenes indios, sin embargo en Italia no lo usa mucha gente pero a mΓ me gusta mucho, sobre todo con especias como el curry o la cΓΊrcuma.
Para esta receta necesitarΓ‘s:
- 100 gramos de arroz basmati
- 1 calabacΓn
- 2 zanahorias medianas
- 5 cucharadas de curry
- 4 cucharadas de sal fina
Primero cogemos la zanahoria, la pelamos y luego la cortamos en rodajas medianas o finas como prefieras.
Then we prepare a pot with water and salt to boil, in the meantime we wash the courgette well and then cut this too into fine or medium slices, when the water boils add the vegetables and cook them for about fifteen minutes then add the basmati and mix well, cook everything for about 25 minutes. Then we drain the rice which will now have mixed with the vegetables and season everything with plenty of curry, mix well, I used five spoons but you can increase the quantity to your liking. A truly delicious and tasty dish! The whole family loved it!

Luego preparamos una olla con agua y sal a hervir, mientras tanto lavamos bien el calabacΓn y luego cortamos este tambiΓ©n en rodajas finas o medianas, cuando el agua hierva agregamos las verduras y las cocinamos por unos quince minutos luego agregamos el basmati y mezclamos bien, cocinamos todo por unos 25 minutos. Luego escurrimos el arroz que ya se habrΓ‘ mezclado con las verduras y sazonamos todo con abundante curry, mezclamos bien, yo usΓ© cinco cucharadas pero puedes aumentar la cantidad a tu gusto.
