Banana Leaf Wrapped Merang Mushroom
Banana leaf wrapped merang mushroom is one of the simplest dishes. With a simple layer of seasoning from several pieces of ingredients then stirred and wrapped in banana leaves. Then cooked and grilled on the coals, well because I wanted to enjoy it quickly I immediately grilled it on the stove grill.
This dish is indeed one of the traditional ways of cooking by utilizing leaves as a way of cooking when in the garden. This aims to minimize the use of oil and pans in the garden, so it will be very easy for us to prepare with minimal equipment and materials. This emergency dish, as we like to call it, is often a delicious choice to enjoy with warm rice, and my mother usually makes it without spices using fresh mushrooms.
Ingredients Needed
1 stalk of spring onion
1 tomatoes
3 orange leaves
2 green chili peppers
¼ onion
1 clove of garlic
1 clove shallot
3 cayenne pepper
¼ teaspoon ground pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
A few banana leaves
Making Procedure
Prepare the mushrooms, wash the mushrooms thoroughly and then boil the mushrooms with boiling water for 1 minute.
After 1 minute remove the mushrooms then drain briefly wait for the mushrooms to cool.

Cut the mushrooms into smaller sizes or according to your taste. Set aside first.
Then finely chop the tomatoes and onions. Continue to chop the other ingredients as well, spring onions, lime leaves, chilies and shallots and garlic.

After all the ingredients are ready, add in another container the mushrooms that have been chopped, then add salt and also ground pepper.
Next add other ingredients that have been finely chopped earlier stir until all ingredients are evenly mixed.

Prepare banana leaves, here I use 2 layers, take 1 pound of mushrooms and wrap them in banana leaves.
Do it until finished and bake until cooked until the leaves change color.
