Easy Way to Cook Spicy Soy Sauce Tofu Pong

Tofu has different characteristics in some dishes served. Spicy dishes are often one of the dishes that cannot be missed for me.



Well tofu has several types, one of which is tofu pong, this tofu pong is empty tofu that is not solid, the filling in the year is indeed absent and usually in my area this tofu is sold after being fried. Tofu pong itself can be processed into snacks or delicious dishes that some people like. One of them is this dish that I prepared!.




Stir-fried Tofu Pong Soy Sauce

Stir-fried soy sauce tofu pong is stir-fried tofu with a combination of several spices that are given a touch of sweet soy sauce. This dish is very simple and has different flavor characteristics because it is processed using pong tofu. Pong tofu does have a different flavor from the usual tofu which has a denser texture.


In Indonesia, tofu is a mainstay dish for all circles of society. And tofu is the only vegan ingredient that is very cheap and easy to make. Here I will show you the preparation steps to make it!




Ingredients Used

Main Ingredients


10 pieces of pong tofu
1 tomato
2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 spring onion stem
1 celery leaf stem

Fine Seasoning


3 red chili peppers
1 clove white onion
2 cloves shallots
3 cayenne pepper
1.5 cm galangal




Cooking Procedure


Step 1


Prepare tofu pong, then cut into small pieces according to taste.

Step 2


Then finely chop, celery leaves, spring onions and tomatoes, all ingredients are ready to use.

Step 3


Puree the spices with a little water, then stir-fry until everything is smooth.

Step 4


Add sesame oil, vinegar and also chopped tofu, cook until absorbed.

Step 5


Add a little water, and season with
Salt, then add chopped scallions, celery and tomatoes and add soy sauce, cook until done.

Spicy stir-fried tofu pong with additional sweet soy sauce is ready to serve, serve it warm with rice is much better. We usually enjoy this dish during lunch time, with this simple menu at home I'm sure anyone will like it. Spicy, savory and sweet are the three flavor combinations that I like the most. The outer skin of the tofu pong soaks up the spicy seasoning so that the plain tofu has an authentic flavor and is definitely very delicious.
