Baked Pergedel
Pergedel is a type of potato that is mashed and then seasoned with various simple ingredients. So it produces a distinctive taste and is very popular with Indonesian people as a side dish for their rice. So, if pergedel is usually made by frying it using eggs, this time I will invite you to make it without eggs and of course one hundred percent vegan.
The interesting thing about this preparation is that I processed the pergedel by grilling it. So it's enough to make it more delicious and even more delicious. This pergedel itself can also be used as frozen food which can last up to a week. So it is very safe for those of you who have busy times and stock it in your refrigerator. So, here I will show you how to do some preparations!
Materials Used
5 cloves of red onion
1 clove of garlic
1 spoon garlic powder
1 spring onion
Pinch of ground pepper
Enough margarine
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon mushroom stock
Creation Procedure
Prepare the potatoes and 1 container filled with water, then peel the potato skin until clean.
After peeling, put all the potatoes in a container filled with water, soak them in water so that the potatoes don't turn black.
Cut the potatoes thinly, or according to your taste, do this until finished. Don't forget to put the pieces back in a container filled with water.
Fry the potatoes until soft or until golden brown.
Next, while hot, mash the potatoes directly with a pestle. Blend it as finely as possible, so that the texture of the pergedel will be beautiful.
Cut the shallots and garlic into small pieces then fry until golden brown.
Next, add the fried onions to the potato mixture, then stir and grind again using a pestle.
Then chop the spring onions, then add them to the mashed potato mixture. Stir until evenly mixed.
Then add ground pepper, and one teaspoon of powdered stock and also one teaspoon of salt, then adjust the taste and stir until evenly mixed.
Add one spoonful of garlic powder, stir the dough until it is easy to shape.
Shape the dough into a round shape, thin like a bun, do this until finished.
Heat a frying pan, then grill, stir until golden brown.
