Easy Way to Make Carrot Spinach Bobor

The sensation of this popular savory dish is often very tempting when it is about to be enjoyed. The combination of green vegetables such as spinach and carrots makes the dish more delicious with the natural flavor of all the ingredients prepared. This time I will invite you to prepare one of the simple recipes made from spinach and carrots.




Bobor Spinach Carrot

Bobor is a vegetable cooked in white coconut milk. This dish is a traditional dish that is very popular in one of the regions in Indonesia. Well bobor is often prepared with various types of vegetables. Now because I have spinach, and I am very happy with spinach, therefore this one bobor preparation becomes very favorite.




Ingredients Needed

Main ingredients

1 bunch of spinach
1 carrot
200 ml fresh coconut milk
2 red chili peppers

Ground spices

1 clove shallot
2 cloves garlic
½ teaspoon coriander
5 pieces cayenne pepper
1 hazelnut




Making Procedure


Step 1


Clean the spinach, take the fresh and undamaged leaves and take the soft stems.

Step 2


Cut the carrots thinly, the size according to your taste. Make sure it is easy to soften when cooked later.

Step 3


Blend the spices finely then saute the spices with enough cooking oil.

Step 4


When it boils, add chili and carrots, cook the carrots until half cooked.

Step 5


Then after the carrots are half cooked, add the thick coconut milk that I have prepared.

Step 6


Cook again when it boils, add spinach, stir and cook again.

Step 7


Then season with salt, correct the flavor and the spinach bobor is ready to be served.

Bobor spinach is ready to serve, feel the sensation of enjoying vegetables that are very savory and naturally sweet from vegetables. It was a pleasure to make this dish for the first time and it was very tasty. I served it in a serving bowl with a side of warm rice. Uhh this is indeed heavenly, delicious more than you enjoy meat is very tempting and has an authentic taste much different from the usual dishes that I prepare.

I love spinachs so much but we have a bigger kind of spinachs here in Italy by the way this recipe looks so appealing!!❤️

We also have several types of spinach, but this one I cooked is the best!

This is very fresh and bright. The coconut addition would really make it delicious and comforting. 😋

That's right, the addition of klapa makes this dish more savory and I love that flavor!
