First Time Making Pumpkin Cream Soup With Vegetable Spinach

Different dishes sometimes often make us more enthusiastic about cooking and even enjoying them.




You believe it, don't you? Food without variety will definitely make us bored. This morning I wanted to make something different at the dinner table. Cream of spinach pumpkin soup is a soup that has a creamy texture mixed with whole spinach. This combination actually made me curious about green and yellow making an elegant bowl variant. However, does it taste delicious? Well, more than the word delicious, for those of you who like creamy soup, try this, it's sure to become your favorite soup later.

Yellow pumpkin has its own charm as a food ingredient in our kitchen. There are several processed pumpkin dishes that remind me of my childhood. Cream soup is my favorite food, but this time I want to make my style of cream soup by adding green vegetables, namely spinach, as an additional source of fiber in soupy dishes. Apart from its delicious taste, yellow pumpkin has a low calorie content, making me accustomed to eating pumpkin.

Usually pumpkin is often served with non-vegan ingredients or even served directly without adding anything. So, here I want to show you how to make spinach pumpkin soup, which is easy to follow!




Spinach Pumpkin Soup

Materials Used

100 grams of yellow pumpkin steam
10 grams of potatoes
1 tablespoon of butter,
20 sheets of spinach
2 cloves of red onion
2 grams of ground pepper
2 cloves of garlic
½ spoon salt
½ spoon powdered mushroom stock




After preparing several ingredients, here I use pumpkin that has been steamed first. So this is how I store pumpkin so it lasts longer in the refrigerator. It is possible that sometimes I consume pumpkin after steaming it without processing it. There are lots of pumpkins in abundance and you don't need to hesitate anymore, after opening them, sometimes after a while we don't use the whole pumpkin, especially with large pumpkins. Therefore, it would be a good idea to follow these tips by steaming the pumpkin and storing it in a closed container in the refrigerator.

The ingredients have been prepared, now I will invite you to cook pumpkin with a spectacular taste. You may have often prepared cream of pumpkin soup at home. But believe me, pumpkin combined with green vegetables such as spinach has an extraordinary taste. Certainly very good nutritional value for the body. Step 1


Prepare the potatoes, peel the skin then cut into small pieces so they are easy to mash.

Clean the spinach, only take the leaves so the texture will be softer.

Then roughly chop the shallots and also finely chop the garlic.

In another container, blend the pumpkin with potatoes, don't forget to add a cup of water.

Prepare a frying pan then heat 1 tablespoon of margarine, then sauté the shallots and garlic.

Saute until the onions are wilted, after the onions are wilted, add the potato pumpkin that has been blended.

Cook and season with garlic powder, mushroom stock and salt.

Cook until boiling then add spinach. Cook again until the soup thickens completely.

Serving Suggestions

Cream of pumpkin soup is ready to be served in a bowl, add chopped red chilies on top. It is very suitable to be enjoyed with whole wheat bread or tortilla dip. In fact, this can easily be a complementary food for breast milk for your child. And this is what my mother usually does at home when my nephew lives there. My mother prepares it as a complementary food for breast milk, the difference is that sometimes she adds rice.
