Empty Sweet Potato Balls
The empty or kopong sweet potato ball is a favorite snack of many people in my country, but this is the first time I tried it at home with a simple recipe I found on the internet. These sweet potato balls were quite difficult to make perfectly like the ones I saw on social media yesterday. However, the good news is that I've gotten better at the kopong sgi although not completely but the balls are fluffy. But this makes me very happy because the sweet potato balls are perfectly round and I like the shape.
Sweet potato balls are made from boiled sweet potatoes then stirred with flour and made into small balls that are beautiful and smooth. Now because I was very curious about these kopong sweet potato balls, I immediately made them, here are the steps in preparation!.
Ingredients
35 grams tapioca flour
15 grams cornstarch
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
Cooking Procedure
Mash the sweet potato with a fork until it is really smooth and soft, don't forget to add salt so that it dissolves easily when mashed.
Add sugar, then add tapioca flour and cornstarch.
Stir both until evenly distributed by hand, add baking powder and also give a little water if the dough is still hard.
If the dough is ready, round the dough round size according to taste, make sure everything is the same size so that it is attractive.
If it has been rounded all, it's time to fry with hot oil on low heat.
Make sure when frying if the skin balls have hardened a little, just press ball in the oil slowly.
If the balls are cooked, they will float and certainly have a golden brown color.
Result
Sweet potato balls are ready to be served, serve by adding donut sugar on top. The result is very interesting with a very delicious taste, the outside is crispy with the filling of the balls that failed to be kopong as I told you above. Well even though it didn't work perfectly, I like the taste, it's still really good and one more thing is that these balls are not too sticky with oil when fried so that when you drain it for a while, you can eat it right away.
The inside is softer, I think if I need kopong, I don't need to fry too much and have to fry longer for maximum results. Maybe I'll try it next time, I'm sure I'll succeed later.

Even though they didn’t turn out perfectly kopong, the fact that they were still fluffy and delicious is a win! The crispy outside and soft inside sound irresistible and thanks for sharing your experience. 😋
The result was not perfect, but the taste was very good. I'll have to try to make it again for a perfect kopong later!
