Only then can we truly achieve success in life. Today, I'm excited to share another nutritious recipe with you. Green peas are a highly nutritious legume, often seen in Sri Lankan celebrations as a curry. In terms of nutrition, they are packed with vitamins and essential nutrients, making them a beneficial food for various health conditions. They are also a nutritious choice for children. Today, I’m going to prepare a unique dish using green peas—a green pea fry! Even those who don’t usually like green peas will enjoy it when prepared this way. Let’s go through the steps and see how we can prepare this delicious dish!
Materials Used.
2 Cup of water.
Salt powder as required.
1/2 teaspoon of Mustard Seeds.
1 1/2 Teaspoon of chili powder.'
1/4 Teaspoon of curry powder.
1/4 Teaspoon of turmeric Powder.
2 Tablespoon of coconut oil.
curry leaves.
Two cloves of chopped garlic.
1 finely chopped onion.
The cooking process as follows.
Now, let's get ready to prepare this delicious recipe. First, take the green peas that have been soaked in water and place them in a cooking pot. Add enough water to cover the peas. Then, add about 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the pot and place it on the stove. Let the peas cook well until they are soft and tender.
Now, take a separate pan and place it on the stove. Add about two tablespoons of coconut oil. Once the oil is heated, add mustard seeds and let them pop. Then, add chopped garlic and stir for about 40 seconds until fragrant. After that, add the sliced onions and stir well. To this, add curry leaves and the required amount of salt. Continue stirring until the onions turn slightly golden and start to soften.
Next, add chili powder, turmeric powder, and curry powder to the onion mixture. Stir everything well, making sure the spices are fully mixed and cooked through, blending with the onions and other ingredients. Continue stirring for a few minutes until the aroma of the spices is released
Finally, add the boiled green peas to the spiced onion mixture. Stir well and fry for about 2 minutes to allow the flavors to combine. Once done, remove the pan from the heat and serve. Enjoy this delicious and nutritious green peas fry!
