Wishing you a wonderful day, dear friends!
How are you all doing? As we approach the end of the year, we are just a day away from stepping into the New Year. In celebration, I prepared a unique recipe for our dinner tonight. I believe this dish is a light and healthy option. The main ingredient I used is rice flour, and what makes this recipe even more special is that it can be prepared in just about 15 minutes. Additionally, I didn’t use any artificial flavorings in the preparation, making it both natural and flavorful. Let’s take a look at how to make this delicious recipe! 🌟
Materials Used.
Rice flour - 1 cups.
2 Tablespoon of Grated Coconut.
3 Tablespoon of coconut oil.
Some hot water.
Salt to taste.
curry leaves.
2 Green chili pods
1 pcs of Pandan leaves.
1 1/2 Teaspoon of lentils
1/2 Teaspoon of .Cumin.
1/2 Teaspoon of Mustard Seeds.
1/4 Teaspoon of turmeric powder.
1 Teaspoon of crushed chili powder.
The cooking process as follows.
First, take a bowl and add the required amount of rice flour. Next, mix in 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and salt to taste. Gradually add warm water while stirring continuously to form a smooth dough.
Next, take a mortar and pestle and combine grated coconut, green chilies, curry leaves, pandan leaves, and a pinch of salt. Grind everything together thoroughly until well mixed. Once done, set it aside.
Next, take the prepared dough mixture and break it into small portions, shaping each into tiny balls. Once shaped, place them in a steamer and steam for 10–15 minutes. After steaming, check to ensure they are well-cooked, and then remove them from the heat.
Next, take another pot and place it on the stove. Add 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and heat it until it becomes warm. Once the oil is heated, add mustard seeds, lentils, and fennel seeds, and mix well. Allow the mixture to sauté briefly until the aroma develops.
Then, add curry leaves, salt powder, crushed chili flakes, and turmeric powder to the mixture. Stir well and cook until the lentils are properly tempered and slightly golden.
Now, add the steamed rice flour balls into the tempered mixture. Gently mix to combine, being careful not to break the balls. Next, add the prepared mallum (coconut mixture with spices) to the same pot and mix everything thoroughly to ensure the flavors blend well. Cook the mixture for about 5 minutes, allowing it to absorb the spices.
Once completed, remove the dish from the heat and serve it warm. Enjoy your delicious and soft creation! This dish is truly a unique experience in the art of cooking. I hope you will also give this recipe a try and savor its delightful taste.
With that, I’ll take my leave for today. Have a wonderful day, everyone!
