This evening, I decided to prepare a new recipe for tea time—an easy and delicious treat made primarily with jaggery, rice flour, and coconut. This snack doesn’t take much time to prepare, and it’s a favorite in my household. Everyone enjoys its delightful taste! The use of rice flour is essential in this recipe as it helps achieve its authentic flavor. You can use rice flour made at home or purchase it from the market, depending on your preference. So, let’s dive into how we can make this delightful tea-time snack and enjoy a heartwarming treat with our loved ones!
Materials Used.
Rice flour 160g.
Coconut oil 250ml.
1/2 Cup of Finely crushed jaggery.
3/1 Cup of hot water.
Salt as needed.
2 crushed cardamom pods.
The cooking process as follows.
Now, let's get ready to prepare this delicious sweet treat. First, take some crushed jaggery and place it in a bowl. Add 1/2 cup of hot water to the jaggery. Mix well until the jaggery dissolves completely into a smooth syrup. Set it aside for later use.
Next, take another bowl and add the rice flour into it. Then, add the grated coconut, a pinch of salt, and a little cardamom powder to the bowl. Using a strainer, gradually incorporate the jaggery syrup prepared earlier into the mixture. Combine everything thoroughly to create a well-blended batter.
Next, take a pan and add some coconut oil, placing it on the stove to heat. Once the oil is hot, use a tablespoon to scoop portions of the prepared batter and carefully add them to the oil. Fry the pieces until they turn a golden brown color, ensuring they are cooked evenly.
We have now finished preparing this delicious snack with ease. It’s a perfect treat to enjoy during tea time and a delightful option to serve to guests visiting your home.
