Cassava leaf mallum is a simple yet highly nutritious dish made with fresh cassava leaves, grated coconut, and aromatic spices. Materials Used.
Young cassava leaves that have been well washed and cleaned 100g.
1/2 Cup of Grated Coconut.
About 4 dried chili pods, chopped.
curry leaves.
1/2 finely chopped onion.
3 or 4 cloves of garlic.
1 Teaspoon of Mustard Seeds.
1/4 Teaspoon of turmeric powder.
1/2 Teaspoon of Pepper powder
Salt to taste.
2 Tablespoon of coconut oil.
1/2 Teaspoon of Lime juice.

The cooking process as follows.
Now, let's start by finely chopping the cassava leaves as shown below.
Now, place the finely chopped cassava leaves on a Wooden Mortar and pound them finely.
Next, add onions, garlic, and curry leaves to the wooden mortar and pound them well. Then, add grated coconut and continue pounding until everything is well combined.
Now, add turmeric powder, black pepper powder, and mustard seeds to the mixture. Then, add the pounded cassava leaves and continue pounding until everything is well combined.
Now, take a pan and place it on the stove. Add two tablespoons of coconut oil and let it heat. Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and chopped dried chilies. When they start to sizzle, add the pounded cassava leaf mixture and mix well. Finally, add a little lemon juice, stir, and remove from the heat after a few minutes.

Would love to try it. I saw many cassava plants in Southeast Asia,in Laos especially but I never tried cassava leaves...
