Materials Used.
Wash and clean Dhal 200g.
2 Green chilli pods, chopped.
Curry leaves.
1 finely chopped onion.
1 Teaspoon of crushed chili powder.
3 Tablespoon of Grated Coconut.
2 Tablespoon of Rice flour.
Coconut oil as need.
Salt as needed.
Water.
1/3 Teaspoon of turmeric powder.
The cooking process as follows.
Now, let's get started with the preparation. First, take a pot, add some water, and place it on the stove. Once the water starts to heat up, add a pinch of salt and then the lentils.
When the lentils are halfway cooked, remove them from the stove, transfer them to another bowl, and drain the excess water. Then, gently mash the lentils to a slightly coarse texture.
Now, add the mashed lentils to a bowl and mix well with curry leaves, chopped onions, green chilies, rice flour, grated coconut, salt, chili powder, and turmeric powder. Ensure that all the ingredients are thoroughly combined to create a well-balanced mixture.
Then, shape the mixture into small balls or flatten them slightly according to your preference.
Now, take another pan, add coconut oil, and place it on the stove. Once the oil is well heated, carefully add the prepared vadai one by one and fry until they turn golden brown.
