Crispy mini roti perfect for tea time.

These days, with school holidays for kids, we tend to prepare light snacks at home. Today, I am excited to share with you how to make a crispy and delicious roti. This is the first time I prepared such a roti, following a method I came across on a YouTube program. It requires only a few ingredients, making it easy and quick to prepare. Although it may not be highly nutritious, it serves as a delightful snack to enjoy during your leisure time. So, let’s dive in and see how to prepare this tasty recipe!

Materials Used.

Wheat flour 250g.
2 Teaspoon of sugar.
Salt as needed.
Coconut oil for frying.
Somewater.

Method of making....

Let’s get ready to prepare this delicious crispy roti! First, take a bowl and add some wheat flour to it. Then, add 2 teaspoons of sugar and a pinch of salt as per your taste. Mix everything well to ensure the ingredients are evenly combined.

Now, place a pan on the stove and add approximately 1 1/2 cups of water to it. Heat the water until it reaches a boil. Once the water is boiling, gradually add the flour mixture to the pan, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

Keep mixing until the water is absorbed and the mixture thickens. Once it reaches the desired consistency, remove the pan from the stove and let it cool slightly.

Next, knead the cooled flour mixture thoroughly to form a smooth dough. Continue kneading for about 10 minutes to ensure the texture is even and pliable. Once done, divide the dough into small portions and shape them into small balls.

Next, take a flat board or surface and sprinkle a little wheat flour over it to prevent sticking. Take one of the small dough balls and roll it out thinly using a rolling pin. Once rolled out evenly, use the lid of a medium-sized bottle or any circular cutter to cut out the dough into neat, round shapes resembling small, elegant rotis. Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls as shown below.

Next, take a pan and add some coconut oil. Place the pan on the stove and allow the oil to heat thoroughly. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the prepared rotis into the pan. Fry them until they turn a golden-brown color, ensuring both sides are cooked evenly. Remove the fried rotis from the pan and set them aside on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
