Today, I’ve brought a brand-new dish to this platform—one that perfectly suits tea time or even dinner. Potato Mix Roti is a delightful twist on the traditional roti, offering a soft and slightly dense texture with a hint of natural sweetness from the potatoes. This version takes it a step further by incorporating special ingredients to enhance both flavor and nutrition. Whether enjoyed on its own, paired with a delicious potato curry, or dipped in a warm, flavorful gravy, this roti is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. The combination of potatoes and flour creates a beautifully golden, soft, and smooth texture that is simply irresistible. So, let’s see how to prepare this delightful dish!

Materials Used.

2 boiled and mashed potatoes.
A little salt to taste.
1/2 Teaspoon of Pepper powder.
1/2 Teaspoon of Mustard seed.
1/4 Teaspoon of turmeric powder..
1/2 Teaspoon of chili powder.
1/2 Teaspoon of curry powder.
4 Tablespoon of coconut oil.
1 finely chopped onion.
Curry leaves.
1 Teaspoon of crushed chili powder.
A piece of cinnamon
3 Cup of Wheat flour.
2 cloves of crushed garlic
1 Teaspoon of yeast.
Some chopped leeks.
Same A little warm water.

The cooking process as follows.

First, take a mixing bowl and add wheat flour, a pinch of salt, yeast, and sugar. Mix everything well. Then, gradually add lukewarm water while kneading until a smooth dough forms.

Next, take a pan and place it on the stove. Add about two tablespoons of coconut oil and let it heat. Once heated, add mustard seeds, chopped garlic, curry leaves, and cinnamon. Stir well to combine the flavors.

Next, add crushed chili flakes, turmeric powder, curry powder, chili powder, and a pinch of salt to the mixture and stir well. Then, add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn slightly golden.

Next, add the steamed potatoes and mix well. Then, add the crushed black pepper and chopped leeks, combine everything thoroughly, and set it aside.

Next, add about a tablespoon of coconut oil to the prepared dough and knead it again. Then, divide the dough into four equal parts and shape them into smooth balls.

Take a tray and roll out each dough ball thinly as shown below. Then, add the prepared potato filling in the desired amount and shape it accordingly.

Then, use a rolling pin to flatten it again into the shape of a roti.

Now, take another pan and add a generous amount of oil. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the roti in the pan and fry it until it turns a beautiful golden brown.
