Special Cabbage Temparaduwa.

Good day to all my dear friends! I hope you're all doing well. We prepare a variety of dishes every day, whether they are new recipes or variations of familiar ones. Previously, I made a dish with Cabbage Flower Curry. (cauliflower). Today, I am preparing "Cabbage tempaduwa" dish to pair with rice. Cabbage is a vegetable packed with nutrients, and when combined with spices, it brings medicinal value as well. Cabbage tempered dish is a traditional Sinhalese delicacy that can be enjoyed as part of a meal. Let’s see how to prepare this flavorful tempered Cabbage dish!

Materials Used.

Well-washed cabbage.
2 Tablespoon of coconut oil.
2 Teaspoon of crushed chili powder.
Salt as needed.
1 Teaspoon of Mustard seed.
1 Teaspoon of pepper powder.
1/3 Teaspoon of turmeric powder.
Curry leaves.
A piece of Pandan.
A piece of cinnamon.
2 green chili pods.
1 onion.
4 cloves of garlic.

The cooking process as follows.

Now let's get ready to prepare this flavorful Cabbage tempered dish. First, finely chop the Cabbage leaves. Next, finely chop the onions, garlic, and green chilies.

Now, add turmeric powder, pepper powder, and pepper powder to the chopped Cabbage leaves and mix everything well.

Now, take a pan and place it on the stove. Add 2 tablespoons of coconut oil to it. Once the oil is heated, add a few mustard seeds. Next, add the chopped garlic and fry until it turns golden brown.

Next, add curry leaves, the chopped onions, green chilies, cinnamon, and pandan leaves to the pan. Mix everything well together.

Add salt and chili powder to the mixture in the pan, then stir everything together once again to ensure the spices are evenly mixed.

Now, add the mixed cabbage leaves to the pan and stir everything together well. Let it cook for about 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, and then remove it from the heat.

So, this delicious cabbage stir-fry was made using simple, natural ingredients readily available at home. Because of that, it’s very healthy and safe to eat.
