Hearing the word Cassava or also called cassava, we must remember its elongated shape and pointed ends, cassava plants are annual plants that can be planted all year round, which are eaten in cassava plants besides the tubers or fruit, the leaves can also be eaten, the leaves are usually cooked in coconut milk, but this time I want to cook the tubers first, next time I will also share how to cook delicious cassava leaves. This cassava is very rich in carbohydrates that some people eat cassava as a substitute for white rice, cassava can also be eaten raw and tastes slightly sweet, in Indonesia itself cassava is usually processed by boiling, steaming, frying or baking
I myself prefer cassava processed by frying it, with the spices available at home I started making snacks from cassava to accompany my relaxing afternoon today,Okay, I will share my simple recipe with all of you who like cassava and are confused about what snack to make from it.
1 lump of brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
- It so happened that the cassava that I bought was already grated, so we just squeezed the cassava water using a coconut milk strainer.
Note: It is best to squeeze the cassava until it is only slightly damp so that it is easy to shape, because here I don't use any flour at all.
- Next, cut the brown sugar into small pieces for the filling inside the cassava.
- Then shape the dough by making it round and fill it with brown sugar that has been cut into small pieces.
- After everything is formed, prepare the cooking oil, wait until it is hot, then fry as usual until it turns brown.
- Fry until golden brown, then remove and drain and the brown sugar filled cassava ball snack is ready to be served.
How very easy right?
Only using 3 ingredients without flour and sugar, because there is already brown sugar so I don't use white sugar anymore, because I don't really like sweet, now for those of you who want to add white sugar or flour to the dough, you can, with flour or without flour it tastes equally good, only this time I didn't use flour so that the cassava flavor is more pronounced because I am a lover of food made from whole cassava.
This snack is more delicious when enjoyed while it is still hot with a cup of tea or coffee, and of course with a friend to chat with, it becomes more exciting. Usually, I am accompanied to chat by my mother, snacking while telling her many things, because in the afternoon at my house there are only my mother and my daughter.
This is a recipe that I can share this afternoon and thank you to those of you who have read my post, see y
