The characteristic of bamboo putu cake is its authentic aroma with pandan aroma, which is usually green bamboo putu cake, but there is also white bamboo putu cake, and this time I will make this bamboo putu cake using pandan flavoring only, because I don't have real pandan leaves at home.

The process of making it is also very easy, and the ingredients are also very easy to find, oh yeah why am I making this bamboo putu cake today, because my husband asked me to make this cake, usually I make this cake during the month of Ramadan, a month full of blessings, and forgiveness for Muslims, because in the month of Ramadan we are required not to eat and drink from morning until sunset,For a whole month, and soon we will enter the month of Ramadan, which we have been looking forward to.

Here are the ingredients and steps that I use to make bamboo putu cake, using a banana leaf mold.

Materials used

300 grams of rice flour
200 grams of grated coconut
100 grams of brown sugar
1/2 tbsp Vanilla powder
2 tbsp Pandan flavoring
1/2 tbsp Salt

Manufacturing Procedure

First

Steam the flour and grated coconut for about 15 minutes. So that the coconut does not go stale quickly, and the flour becomes smooth and easy to shape.

Third

Set aside the flour mixture first, now we continue to make the cake mold using banana leaves, take a banana leaf, I measure the length using a bottle of vanilla powder, then roll the banana leaf into an elongated round, then hex it at the top and bottom, so it doesn't open.

For the grated coconut, eat it with the bamboo putu cake. It will be even more delicious,Usually I make this cake in the morning, it can be for family breakfast, accompanied by hot tea or coffee, makes me really enjoy it.

Anyway, for the first try, it was quite good, but unfortunately the cake crumbled easily and wasn't very dense, I think it was because when I put the dough into the banana leaf mold, I didn't press it until it was solid. But as a suggestion, you can use the original mold, which is a mold made of bamboo, so that the results are beautiful.
