Hello vegan friends, how are you? It's great to be able to share cooking recipes again in this community. Today I will share a recipe for potato snacks. Who doesn't like potato snacks? I think almost everyone likes them because potatoes are delicious when cooked in any way, whether as vegetables, as snacks, or even as potato croquettes, they are all delicious, especially children who really like potato snacks.
The snack that I made is shaped like a donut, but this is not a potato donut, because here I do not use yeast, only boiled potatoes, wheat flour and cornstarch, while for the filling I use carrots and sauteed garlic, and to complement the taste I also add celery leaves. I got this recipe from my mother, she really likes potato snacks, and usually my mother makes potato croquettes, but this time my mother invited me to make this snack, because coincidentally there are 2 potatoes at home that I don't know what to cook, so rather than wasting it, we'd better make this snack for me. Oh yeah, I also don't know for sure what this snack is called hehheeh. Because usually my mother and I just call it a potato snack.Okay, I will immediately start preparing the ingredients and I will also share the recipe with all of you.
1/2 carrot
1 clove garlic
5 tbsp wheat flour
3 tbsp cornstarch
1 stalk celery
Mushroom stock to taste
Pepper powder to taste
Salt to taste
Peel the potatoes, wash them clean then cut them into small pieces and boil them until they are soft.
Next, peel the carrot skin and cut the carrots into small cubes or according to taste.
Once you feel the potatoes are soft, remove the potatoes and mash them using a mortar and pestle, until the texture is really smooth.
Then saute the garlic, after it wilts, add the flour, stir, add the mashed potatoes, cornstarch and carrots.
Stir for a while,Then move the dough into a bowl..to make it easier to knead, knead the dough until it can be shaped, don't forget to add pepper powder, mushroom stock, and salt
Shape the dough into donuts, or according to your taste.
When forming the dough, add a little cooking oil to your hands, so it's easy to shape it so it doesn't stick to your hands
Fry the dough in hot oil, fry until cooked and golden brown.
Potato snacks are ready to be served with hot sauce or your favorite sauce. They taste very crunchy. I thought they wouldn't be crunchy, but they turned out to be very crunchy, even though they were cold like this.
