Making traditional cakes is an inspiration for young people today, the reason is that there are many young people who do not know about traditional cakes in their respective areas, for example, even though I am no longer young, I am not very good at making this cake, this is my mother's favorite cake, she loves to eat it in the morning, make it for breakfast after it melts and do activities at home accompanied by a cup of sweet tea or coffee.
This cake is made from rice flour with coconut milk and then vanilla and pandan-flavored food coloring are added. It is very easy to make, even so many of us don't want to make it anymore, now there are many modern ones that we can enjoy instantly, many are sold everywhere, there is no need to bother to make it yourself.
Although I think this cake is very sweet, savory and sweet, at first glance it is similar to marrow porridge, because it is made with palm sugar, but the texture of this cake is denser, because the cooking process is steamed on low heat until the texture is really mature and dense.
Traditional cakes typical of my area
The first thing I know about this cake is definitely from my mother, she cooked it yesterday, only today I want to make it myself with my mother's recipe.
Well, I will start preparing the ingredients that I will use later to make this cake, I don't know for sure what the name of this cake is, I also forgot to ask my mother yesterday hehehe..
Materials used
400 grams of coconut milk
100 grams of palm sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp pandan seasoning
1/2 tsp salt.
Manufacturing procedure
Mix the rice flour, vanilla, salt and coconut milk, add the coconut milk gradually until the coconut milk runs out,then add the pandan seasoning and stir until the flour no longer clumps

Prepare the mold, then put the palm sugar first into the mold, then steam for 2 minutes, then put the flour dough into the mold, steam the dough again until cooked, about 40 minutes.

RESULTS
The cake is ready, it tastes just as savory and sweet, savory because it has coconut milk while the sweetness is obtained from palm sugar, the palm sugar melts, but I think the palm sugar is not much, tomorrow if I make this cake again, I will add half a cup of palm sugar, so that it tastes sweet, if the palm sugar is more, it will melt very much on the cake, of course it will add sweetness to the cake
