Kuah pliek is a dish like curry jiwhich contains several kinds of vegetables, the basic ingredient of which is pliek, pliek itself is made from rotten or dried coconut pulp which has been extracted from its oil first, Acehnese people usually take oil from old coconuts, the oil can be used as cooking oil. While the pulp is used to cook pliek vegetables or pliek fish, yes that's how Acehnese people always utilize the ingredients around them.
There are many vegetables in pliek soup, but usually I only use young melinjo leaves, young melinjo fruit, long beans, green eggplant, those are the only vegetables I use to cook pliek vegetables this time, rather than making you curious I will share the recipe with all of you.
Ingredients
200 grams of melinjo leaves
100 grams of young melinjo fruit
100 grams of long beans
100 grams of green eggplant
1.1/2 old coconuts
Ground spices
1/2 tablespoon of coriander
8 green chilies
8 red chilies
10 cloves of shallots
4 cloves of garlic
1/2 nutmeg
A pinch of black cumin

Curry leaves to taste
Lime leaves to taste

How to make it
- Puree the spices using a blender, once smooth pour into the vegetables.
- Soak the pliek in plain water for 2-3 minutes first so that the pliek is soft and easy to blend. Then blend the pliek until thick and smooth.
- Puree the coconut using a blender, take the coconut milk and pour it into the vegetables.
- First boil the melinjo fruit for about 3-4 minutes so that the texture of the fruit is soft, then add the vegetables.
- Once the melinjo fruit is soft, then cook the vegetables until done. Don't forget to add the sliced ingredients and a pinch of salt.
- Then cook the vegetables until cooked, don't forget to stir occasionally, once cooked the vegetables are ready to be enjoyed.
